Scalpers can't bot this! For the previous Pokemon TCG tin special buy you could still get them even a few days after they appeared in the stores.

Looks like the image is for the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Mini Tins
Each mini tin contains 2 booster packs and 1 sticker sheet.
There are five different tin designs to collect.
The artwork on the tins can be combined to form one large image.

Big W will have them for $20 from the 20th if you are feeling lucky

    Scalpers can't bot this

I suspect there won't be a limit, so the scalper just has to line up before the store opens.

For the previous Pokemon TCG tin special buy you could still get them even a few days after they appeared in the stores.

That's cause they had older packs (2x Paradox Rift and 1x Twilight Masquerade) in them. This time it's the latest set (Ascended Heroes) that just released today (Mini tin officially releases next week).

probably no limit i assume. will most likely be a free for all
would ultimately depend on the store whether to implement a limit.

not true china has its own chinese exclusive

    • -1

Don't worry Albo will be banning them soon.

    • Was literally in china and they have their own exclusives

  • no it's not

  • yeh gg

excellent, good to know when to avoid Aldi

Every Wednesday and Saturday morning, easy!

  • Remember the 60 day change of mind returns. Get scalping

  • While we're on the topic, anyone know where to buy Pokemon cards in south east Melbourne? 4 year old wants some

    • +4

I’d suggest a cheap bulk lot on eBay. You can get 100 cards for around $10 - all basics of course, but for a four year old that won’t matter.

      • +1

Awesome thanks I will do that :)

        • I can help you out with a bundle of cards if you are interested. Shoot me a PM if you like.

      $2 store or Aliexpress

I got some packs for my 5yr old nephew. They have 65000 hp lmao

      • +8

Don't do this. Kids end up bringing them to school and trade with other kids and it can have very negative effects. Keep fakes out of circulation

        • -1

          That's a problem.. why?

          • +1

@outlander: kid will get bullied for having fakes tbh,

            • -2

@Picklemeister: That's on the kids doing the bullying. They need to be parented better if they are bullying kids for not having expensive toys

      • +2

also your kid will get bullied for having fakes lol. I know this was true back when I was at school and with how crazy scene has gotten and how aware people are of the monetary value of a card, I bet it's even worse now.

    • If you don't care that it isn't English… buy the Korean packs/boxes. A lot cheaper and actually available.

    • +1

Find a local card shop near you. They should sell commons for almost nothing and kids at that age love sifting through the boxes. Also I've had multiple times at a card shop were the owner would just give my kids a stack of common cards for free.

      • This. Good Games Top Ryde City has a box of common cards for 5c a card.

      keep going i'm almost there

Without knowledge on when drops happen buying in person from these stores is extremely difficult.

    • -$17 so you pay them $17 to take it from you…

    • -3

I'm just kidding boys and girls. I have no interest in this. Just rage baiting

  • $17 for two boosters and a tin seems a bit expensive?

    • -1

At 80% you'll profit about $5 per tin at the next show selling to vendors. Buy 100. Easy $500

    • not at all sadly. retail is 8.50 now I believe, but outside of Kmart and big W, you would be lucky to get them for anything less than $10 each. $17 for 2 of a brand new set is considered cheap now

  • if no buy limit the first person through dor will get them all

Wonder if these are genuine. My wife bought a "Pickachu" electric toothbrush for my son which says it's licensed by Nintendo, but it's obviously not genuine. They couldn't even spell Pikachu correctly.

The mad dash as soon as the roller door slowly lifted is always fun with kids. Sucked in to the three scalpers who pushed past and then had a 50/50 chance of running down the wrong side of the special buys aisle, you choose wrong. Gave the rest of us a chance before you picked up what was left by the box fulls.

Aldi really needed to implement a limit per person on these. All gone within 2 mins of the shop opening.

  • +1

My store had a 2 per person limit so it really depends on which store you went to
