finally this deal come back thanks op

  • Yesss

  • "Oops! Guest exceeds campaign limits"

    • I don’t think the campaign has started.

      • Right, my bad. Didn't notice the time.

        • Where do you enter the code to see this? I know it hasn’t started yet but can’t find where to enter it for when it does, thanks

  • -2

So basically spend $110 (minimum) and get $230 game credit?

    • +1

      No it's 80 for 200 because 80 is more than 30

      • Don't think that's correct. 80 for 200 offer is voucher exclusive.

        • +1

If you redeem the $20 in this deal then you pay $80 when you do the $100 for $200 top up.

There is no "FUN" in timezone. I do feel like I'm getting scammed dropping $3 / $5 on prize and token games that lasts 30 seconds. Then there's the machines that take your credits but don't even work. Scamzone is more accurate.

    • -2

Token games are unsanctioned gambling machines. At least with pokies it is regulated to give about 33% back to players.

With token or claw machines etc, there is no regulation. So they can reduce the duration, increase speed or maybe change the claw strength randomiser to be more weaker to more players.

It doesn't make business sense if I'm actually having "FUN" (longer play time) I'll actually think I'll have a chance to win and pay to play again whilst others are watching wanting to try also. On a "busy" Saturday it's barely even full at Scamzone, it's why they have to lure you with these bonus credit deals rather than fixing their machines… at least pokies are more addicting more so with Pachinko in Japan.

        • Maybe the one you go to is just especially badly managed? In the two venues I occasionally go to, if any of the machines genuinely have issues that make them unplayable, you can just let the staff know and they'll refund you the credits back to your card.

Both also have decent crowds in the afternoon/evening every time I got to either one anytime between Thursday to Sunday.

Anyway, you should only touch the carnival-type games with the expectation that they're money sinks. If you want to make your credits last relative to play time, the arcade machines (especially rhythm/dance games) is the way to go.

@pj1351: I used to work in the regulated gambling industry so i at least know how the regulated environment works.

There is a reason EU has been targeting gatcha functions in online games (lootboxes etc).

I don't know why people negged me cause I guess they cannot accept the reality that token games are basically unregulated gambling with little to no penalty if the venue operators decide to tweak the randomiser to make players have less chance at winning than pokies.

These deals are actually quite alright tbh, spend 10, get 30, most of the games are 2.50 to 3 bucks, so basically a dollar per game of real money spent…about the most I'd ever want to spend tbh. Cheers OP, still got about 120$ of credit left from those $1 signups over a year ago, but did do one of these tenner deals a few months back when we happened to walk past a store and the toddler wanted to head in.

  • Are they the same company as strike

  • Can I use my gift card in store for this deal?

    • Yes you can. Timezone accept split payments, gift card payments.

It's funny this promo starts one day after the double dollars promo.

      • yea, its sucks. i just spent $200 and got $400. now i have to get $80 for $200 because i will have fomo.

  • I'm assuming this stacks with 10% off Ultimate GCs?

  • I don't have the offer in the app. So how do I use the code because I've checked each tab and there is no where to type it.

    • +1

It should be visible on the app on Monday. Doesn't start until then.

  • If the existing credit is expiring, can a new top up extend everything?

    • +2

Will my Timezone game credit and Powertickets expire?
Card balances and e-tickets will expire one year from the date of last use, at which time any unused balance and Powertickets will be forfeited.

      What constitutes “last use”?
Using your Powercard in a venue to play games, load credit or redeem prizes.

      https://www.timezonegames.com/en-au/faqs/

I would suggest treating "in a venue" as the keywords.

  • The choice is $10 for $30 credit or $80 for $200

  • I'm a timezone novice. I have to take six kids there in a couple of weeks and I'll be paying for some credit for each of them. Is there any way I can make this deal work? I assume I can't get the $200 credit and split it across cards??

    • +2

You can use the one card and trigger multiple games in order. So long as you are using credit (timezone money) there is no time delay between uses.

    • +1

If you have spare phones (or the kids do) with NFC you can add the one card to them and use them as extra cards

    • +1

This might be worthwhile for your situation:
1 hour unlimited play (selected games/colour coded readers)
      https://www.timezonegames.com/en-au/timeplay/

    • +1

no, you can't split the credit. i already tried. best to have them go around as a group and play together and tap as they play. no downtime, so you can tap all 4 in sequence quickly.

  • I can only select the silly Valentine’s Day double dollars to reload? How do I manually add an amount ha.
Wait my dumb ass saw "later today" and then saw the date for when its available.

  • My $20 Fun Funds voucher was added automatically, didn't need to enter the code.

  • I have load $50 get $30 bonus, does it stack with this one?

    • spend $80 get $200 credit

  • Trying BIGFUN in the barcode manual claim as per instruction steps throws…

    Opps! guest exceeds campaign limits

    Anyone else get the same?

Not sure how else to claim via the Fun app. Currently abroad so can’t get to venue 🤷‍♂️

  • I have load $50 to get $30 bonus as well. I m assuming both of these will not stack?

    • +1

I think that's their normal deal, or maybe it's $50 and get $20. You can probably do them separately, but definitely not at the same time.

      • It looks targeted being load $50 and get extra $30 credit. However i think you are right, it sounds too good to be true if it stacks.

  • I somehow ended up receiving $220 of credit after using this $20 coupon plus the $80 spend.

    • The Blue level membership card has $20 bonus credits at $200 and $700 cumulative spending, so maybe that?

Edit: No, I think I landed on website for Timezone in another country. That doesn't match the membership bonus in Australia.

  • I want to try their mini bowling, it says from $6 per person. Are there any surcharges (weekend etc) or hidden fees?

  • +1

I just got a second 'take 2' offer with another $20 voucher. I already redeemed the first one. It says to come and get another $20. Don't mind if I do!

    • +1

Same thing here, already redeemed the first one, happened to check the app and saw another voucher named "Round 2: $20 Fun funds voucher". Same expiry of 15 March as the first round/this current deal, and yep can do 80 for $200 credit deal. I don't remember if they've done this before but I won't complain.

  • Thanks OP.
I have the $20 voucher. If I spend $80 and load up card with $200 before 15th March, do I have to use the balance in card before this date as well or I can use card later (with balance from this promotion)? I want to avail this deal, but have commitments for the next few weekends.

  • My boy has a birthday and he wants to spend them there with his 5 best friends. So 6 kids in total. Can I buy a card then load 80 and get 200 and use that one card for all of them?. Or even 2 cards to load 80 on each and get 200 on each and them share those 2 cards until they dry the credits??. They would likely want to play Laser Tag so can I aso just tap the same card for all of them.
