  • are these any good?

    • they are one of the best budget 75%'s you can get today. they sound fantastic and feel great.

    • Very good mate, I got one. Look and feels like 400=500 bucks cuatom keyboard

      • +2

Cuatom would make for an interesting brand name

    • I have the pro version. Got it from TaoBao a while back. They sound insanely good with no key wobble and the battery life is very good! I'm very happy with mine.

    • I have the standard version and have used it daily for more than a year. It's a great keyboard for the price. The stock keycaps felt cheap so I changed the keycaps to my liking. The battery life, wireless connectivity, latency, feel, and sound are all great. However, I don’t recommend it for office use, as it is a pretty loud keyboard.

  • Amazing board, was between the bridge75 and this and went with the bridge. Very close cut though both are super well built and sound great, and this is a great price.

    • +1

I too went with the bridge. This is tempting though.

    • Agree, bridge75 was worth it though

    • +1

Or spend less and get Aula F75 with Icy Vein Switches
      AliExpress is around $60-65 aud

      • A little different Plastic vs Aluminium chasis, but seems like a decent option

      • +1

Please don't compare plastic with full aluminium

    • do they make it in 75%? I prefer the 75% layout over the TKL

      • Same company as Rainy75.

  • How does this compare with a ROG Azoth?

    • +3

I feel like if you are looking to get a gaming keyboard, you should go for something with hall effect switches. if you want something that feels and sounds good, the rainy75 is far better than the rog azoth imo.

    • This custom would be good. But double the price and its preorder at the moment

    • +2

This cant be compared to ROG Azoth. That is for gaming, this keyboard is more for typical use and non-competitive gaming.

If you are looking for best gaming keyboard, Wooting would be one of the best. Software is top notch too.
If you are after budget one, there are plenty like Ace Turbo 68, etc.

  • I read some recent comments on Reddit regarding Wobkey and VIA. Does anyone know if VIA works the same way as it does for say Keychron?

  • +1

Important note with this KB is it requires 6 screws be removed to get the keyboard case off, this is mainly for changing plate/foams and accessing battery and doesn't affect your ability to swap keycaps/switches.

With that said keyboards like the bridge75 and crush80 have ball catch/magnetic systems that are screw-less for removing the case but they are both a bit more expensive. If you don't plan on fiddling with the foams too often then this is still a great deal.

  • Any recommendations for 60%?

  • I want a new KB, these look nice, but I really want some macro keys and doesn't look like they make one with any :(

    • +1

Can remap one of the keys using VIA, alternatively get a separate macro pads.

      • I can do that with my current KB, and have had to remap buttons for a game I play as my current 60% doesn't have F keys :\
but it's also then annoying outside of the game if they are not dedicated macro keys.

I have another KB coming today with macro buttons, if I don't like it I might get the Zen65 and then the Megalodon, and might see if I can make a mount so it can attach to the KB

  • I’ve been meaning to buy a set of Rainy 75 Pros for a while and almost pulled the trigger, but then I realised these ones come with JWK WOB switches rather than Kailh Cocoa switches. The Cocoas sound a lot better in my opinion.

    • +1

The pro one does come with Kailh Cocoa, mine came in yesterday and it has Cocoa :) sounds amazing!

      • +1

Oh really? Well that makes my decision easier, thank you
