Not a great deal, paid ~$2500 for the MacBook Pro M5 14inch 24GB/1TB when Harvey norman was running 10% giftcard bonus.

HN gift card doesn't reduce the price

I agree it's not upfront however it is still fair to factor it in. Just reduced the net total of the next order, still tangible

The 24gb is nice, but the M3 isn't the best value considering an M4 Air with 24/512 is $2,299 .

  • Got a MB Pro M15 16 gig / 1tb for $2.2k 2 months ago.

    • Got a link? Sounds like a good deal.

Was a combination of luck and chance.

And when I clicked on it for some reason it was even lower at 2.4k so got Officeworks to price match over the phone and bought it then and there.

Lucky too because I checked again 5 mins later and was back to the og price.

        • Always wondered, how does a price match over the phone work? Do you have to pay with a credit card over the phone/they create a specific link you can pay with? Or they say they would put one aside for you and you have to pay in store within a specific period of time?

@AussieDaddy: Either you had to go in and pay there or pay over the phone. I didn't want to risk it so I just paid over the phone.

@Mr-NPC: Thanks. Just wanted to know how it works in case an opprtunity knocks at my door in the future…. Well, as long as the person on the other side of the phone doesn't sound like they're in a call centre overseas. Probably not an issue, but always had this fear of giving card details over the phone.

  • I bought MacBook Air 15" (M3) 8GB RAM /512 for $1500 two days ago. Is it a good deal?

    • 8GB?! I assume used?

      • New

        • Odd. Apple made 16GB the minimum back in october 2024, even for older models.
