I think this is ATL.
Heard good things about this lens. So I grabbed one.

i will say fwiw, ive been real happy with tamron IS - but on the same token if using with say, a7iii, the in body IS is actually extremely capable too

I have both (bought the Tamron when it came out, and couldn't resist trying the Sigma when it came out). I like the image quality and physical size better on the Sigma, most pictures are on a tripod or outdoors so the image stabilisation point is mostly negated (using a A6400).
The Sigma 17-40 f1.8 I'd love to try out, but beyond my price range.

Loved the sigma 17-35 f1.8 on my canon. Hardly took it off was like having 3 primes - was a pretty massive lens but fine on a dslr.
New one is meant to be smaller/lighter would be better on mirrorless crop, plus the extra reach - would love to pick one up but the Sigma 18-50 2.8 does the job so can't really justify it.

If someone needs more reach at the expense of weight, this is a good option, 25-105mm filed of view…

any RF canon ones?

Waiting on a good price for the Sigma 18-50 2.8 …

Not ATL but its $628 on amazon.

That's really great price. But CCC says this is the ATL.
This is sold by Amazon. May be another seller at $628?
he's referring to the Sigma, not the Tamron.

Was about $593 at Teds Cameras a couple of weeks ago

I m waiting too… but cheapest it’s $594…

Keep an eye out on seller Dcxpert on eBay, they always have discounts on them which usually stack with the eBay discounts
Think I got mine around $520 last year

Waiting on a good price for a full frame lens, just got the camera from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/947964

Lucky you… I missed it. The best deal was A7CII.

Don't mean to be rude - but super zooms are boomer retiree coded.
Chad youth prime photographers zoom with their feet.

This should probably help me along in my stalking career

Cheaper at techinthebasket, as far as I can see

Sigma 18-50 2.8 is cheaper, lighter, better IQ, but lacks stabilisation, if you don’t mind that or have a camera with IBIS, it’s a good alternative. I’m waiting for a decent deal on the sigma 17-40 1.8.
