Games of that era could just be brutal. Like did they even finish the game with a play test before releasing it. R-type also comes to mind.
If this is the one I have on my PS Vita. Then yes OMG hard as hell and to properly finish it you need to Power armour and kill all bosses in each chapter.

Resurrection is closer to the original arcade. No double jump.
Legend difficulty on this is by far the hardest in the entire franchise.

The ultimate was great throwback but yeah had to stop or my Vita would be smashed.

This is a really good version of a stone cold classic platformer. Hard as nails but dope. Totally missed by the mainstream critical establishment presumably because they were too shit to play it.

I remember completing it at the arcade. Tried playing it again recently on an emulator. Couldnt event get past the first stage for ages lol
That's me playing HOMM3. I remembered completing it in my teenage years. Attempted it last year and got trashed by the AI!
I had the GBA version on a flashcart and even with save states could not finish it. Just brutality.
Had the Amstrad CPC way back in the day as a kid, invariably got to the second level and died.
Anyone who can legit finish this game, I salute you.
