  the metric of cost per sheet is useless. and the manufacturers and retailers know it.

  same with cost per liter for ice cream. the manufacturers whip air into their mix to increase their profit margins.

  it should be price per weight for both.

  i wonder if we can crowdsource the data, weigh a full roll of whatever we each have already at home, then do a proper price analysis. to find the best value toilet paper in the country.
