Wait for a coupon code from Target then buy one from them.

Currently $115 from Target and the coupon codes are usually $10-$20 off, so still more expensive overall.

Amazon had PS5 controllers for $57 in June 2024, I don't think I've seen them anywhere near that price since

    • Looking for two controllers - shall I wait more for a better deal?

      • Ok…that’s 2024!

Bought for $82.06 each (using eBay 3% gift card via Macquarie)

        Thanks OP

  • Has anyone paid to have one repaired and know roughly how much it costs? I have one with stick drift that I've been unable to fix myself.

    • +1

Unless you can fix it yourself, it will most likely cost more than a new controller for someone else to fix it for you.

I replace the sticks for hall effect or tmr in Adelaide for about $40. Theres a couple of other guys around who do it roughly that price also.
Check FB marketplace in your area :)

      • Good advice. And good for you repairing these.

Pretty easy to take apart, check out iFixit

Check marketplace. I've found a bloke near me that does Hall effect for $40, and TMR sticks for $50. Generally what I'd do is buy busted controllers on marketplace for about the $30 mark and have him put TMR sticks in it. I've done a couple so far. They've worked flawlessly

  • These controllers get stick drift easy for some reason.

So you'll buy another one ;)

Yea I used to get these for PC but found the 3rd party Xbox alternatives (8BitDo etc) are way better and usually cheaper with AliExpress codes/cashback. Not sure if many alternatives exist for PS5 though.

Wait for Temu 50% shopback on Temu. Plenty of stores selling this at $110 (down to $55 after cashback). I got the xbox series controller the other day for $42 from Temu, very solid deal.

    • Excuse my ignorance but were they genuine controlllers? Is 50% shopback via ShopBack and you need to wait a few monhts to get your funds back.

      • my experience with the xbox controller purchase was good. Genuine and brand new in original box. I think the reviews from previous buyers helped a bit.

  • Thanks op, got one

  • Thanks OP, got one.

  • in 2022 i got one for around 65, how has the price never gone close to that ever again? lol

btw if you are getting it for PC like me, just wait for Steam's one for now.

  • Code doesnt work?

    • Had to use another account to make it work.

      Thanks!
