      the USA competitor FUKWIT

      • Wow, none of us had already made that connection lol

      • +2

        The UK competitor Farquaad

    • u fikking wot m8

  • +2

    I have a few of the fikwot nvmes they've been fine. :)

    • How long have you used it? Which size?

      • +1

        I've got a couple 2tb and a 4tb, bout a year and a half now or so, maybe bit longer.

  • -3

    I mean this might be a budget drive, but are these speeds not quite low?

    • +11

      It's limited by the SATA interface. NVME drives have far more bandwidth as they use the PCIE bus

    • +9

      Nope. Thats close to the maximum real world SATA limits.

    • +2

      The quoted speeds are max read speed and max write speed. Those are basically SATA3 speed and when SLC cache is being used.

      In QLC mode, especially foldback write mode, the speed can get really ugly. I have QLC SATA SSDs, they were cheap when I bought them ($5 for 240GB (WD Green), $25 for $480GB (I know, not that great price wise - Kingston with cheap QLC) and Intel H10 256GB QLC (which is NVMe). Don't be surprised if QLC sustain write speed drops to 40 MB/s or less.

  • Would there be any heat issues with these?

    I've bought a dashcam that can take up to a 4tb SSD, but have no idea on what type of drive can take up 50° temps (if one even exists).

    • +1

      In a car more like 60c on a hotday

    • +1

      Endurance microsd allegedly goes up to 85 degrees (operating temp) on the datasheet, so there's that.

    • +2

      dashcam that can take up to a 4tb SSD

      Dashcam can take SSD now? What brand? I thought they only accept microSD.

      • +2

        Pretty sure he's talking about Viofo, check out LTT's recent video about dashcams

  • +3

    You have got to be a bit of a fikwot to buy one of these

  • what kind of fikwot would spend $306 on a no name ssd

  • +2

    For a little bit more money, I found another brand through Temu:
    Lexar Thor Pro M.2 2280 SSD, PCIe Gen4x4 3D NAND Flash, Up to 7000MB/s Read Speed, Compatible with PC, Laptop, PS5.

    Total cost during Shopback cashback 50%:
    1TB = $122.77
    2TB = $237.94
    4TB = $399.46

      • +1

        You're popular.

        Tag = popularity contest 😂

      • The curse of being a celebrity around here haha!

        • +2

          Damn, looks like I'm becoming famous then :P

      • It means you need to come up with 50% coupon on Ali.

        • I feel like we once got 30 or 40% cashback years ago.

      • +1

        I tagged people from the comments above who might be interested with the deal 😁

        @whyisave @incipient

    • +1

      I paid 460 for Samsung 990 pro 4tb week's ago. still no shipped

      • +1

        That's cheap for 4 TB

        • +1

          yes the ssd is coming today. price should be around 438 if you use new email and get another 5% first order. but it sales really quick and almost miss the deal. I don't have enough time to apply new account. it was Oos after I placed order.

          459 is not cheap . people bought it way cheaper last year most of good price is around 38x.

          I don't think you will get this kind of price in the next few years. all resources are allocated to AI

    • I had a look, isn't the 4tb ~700?

      • $695.93
        Total cost during Shopback cashback 50% will be $399.46 (net 42.6%).

    • I personally haven't had any temu cashback rejected yet, however lots of people have. I'm definitely apprehensive about missing out on a $400 cashback and paying $800 for a lexar 4tb haha.

      • Me too, no rejected Temu cashback so far for both Shopback and Topcashback. I have received >$1200 iPhone 17 Pro Max cashback from Shopback recently. The cheapest Lexar 4 TB is under $700 before cashback.

  • Was actually keeping watch for 4tb sata. Great!

    Was $307.22 for me.

  • +4

    I prefer the Fukwit brand personally

  • -5

    i called Albanese that earlier lol

    • +2

      You rebel.

    • +1

      Why wouldn't you?? It's his middle name.

    • +1

      is Albo in the room with you right now?

    • +1

      If I order 5-10pcs on Alibaba I can get my own Albo Fikwot SSD.

    • The Victorian comrades must be neg'ing you

  • Lmao fik wut that

  • +5

    Can someone, please, confirm if this a true genuine Fikwot FS810? I do not want risking getting a knock off.
