We can’t seem to link your Flybuys account to your Coles Pay wallet just now. Try again or contact Coles Pay Customer Care.

    Good start.

What's the point of offering 4000 points if they increase the price of their products more than the value of 4000 points?

      https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02-17/coles-accc-federal-co…

I wouldn't trust Coles with my cards at all.

they are getting hammered - I see HTTP 429 Too many requests response from the server. Just try couple more times, I was able to link on 2nd attempt

  • Offer available in-store in selected Coles stores in VIC.

That is such a limited promo offering. Wonder why they don't roll it out across the country?

    • Pilot, extended pilot, GR1, etc.

If only there was another digital wallet option!!

Just what we need… A flybuys app, a coles app and a store specific wallet (for every shop on the planet).

    • Plus the OnePass app lol

  • +4

Sign up, claim the points, never use again

  • I don't really get this "app".
    1) it's not an app at all, it's a website
    2) either something is wrong, or the functionality is total bs - you can only add flybuys, debit/credit card, and some "mycoles discount card". Their FAQ and marketing materials mention that you can store up to 5 gift cards there and use them automatically in the store, that would make it comparable to Everyday Pay from woolies that was closed, but… there is no way to add gift cards?

    • +2

The mycoles discount card is a staff discount card I think.

It is supposed to support gift cards - if it won't let you add them then its pretty useless.

Also see my other post - according to the FAQ, you can't store the same gift or payment card in different accounts.

    • How it works in store
      1

      Sign up to Coles Pay
Verify your details and link your Flybuys, debit or credit cards and Coles gift cards#.

      2

      Download the Coles app
Sign into Coles Pay through the Coles app.

      3

      Shop and scan
Shop in store, select Coles Pay at the checkout, and scan the QR code with your mobile camera or via the Coles app.

      • ok got it - gift cards are added to coles app after you link it to "coles pay", not to "coles pay" directly

  • +2

worked/linked in 2 seconds. when do i get my bonus pts?

  • It doesn't allow you to store your gift cards on multiple accounts.

It doesn't even allow the same payment credit/debit card on more than one account.

You can do both of these on the Woolies Rewards app.

It is very likely you won't be able to use the same mobile for multiple accounts, again unlike Woolies.

    Tried to sign up:

    Something Went Wrong

Do you have a Beem account?

Coles Pay is powered by Beem, so you’ll need to log in with the same email and mobile number you use for Beem.

Try again, or if you have any further problems, you may need to contact Coles Pay Customer Care.

It has recognised my mobile from an old Beem account and insists I have to login with the same email and phone number from that account. Which I haven't used for years. I don't use that old Beem email on either of my Flybuys accounts.

    What a crock.

    • Beem

looks like the Beem cards are shared to colespay .
i signedup colespay and all my cards in BEEM are already there.

  • Am I blind, I don't see the offer anywhere on flybuys

    • Sent by email.

      • So.. targeted then.

People are likely going to jump on this offer, reap the points then uninstall and never use again. Agreed, don't need yet another app, although I must admit WW did theirs well and I like how GC and Everyday rewards are all in one app.

First time looking at it, but so far, the Coles Pay seems good - since you can add a Coles/Coles Myer gift card as payment method, and it tells you the balance on it. An easy way to track the balance of gift card.

Complete five in-store shops with Coles Pay at participating Coles stores to receive another 2,000 points

I am guessing using gift card payment within Coles Pay for the five in-store shops should qualify for these points.

    • How did you add a Coles Myer GC as payment method?

  • I must be blind, I can't see where you can add gift cards

    • +2

Go into the Coles App - change your Top tab to 'Click & Collect' (if it is on 'In Store') at the moment. Then go to 'More' (bottom right).
Within, you will see 'Coles Pay wallet' listed. Go in there. There will be 3 tabs under 'My Cards'. Select the 'Gift cards', and add your gift card.

There might be an easier way - but this is how I chanced on how to add the gift cards.

Strange that if you are on 'In Store' tab - the More option does not show the Coles Pay Wallet.

        Thanks @bluesky!

It also looks like you need to select a store from the eligible list

      • +1

        This worked- thanks!

  • So I have the Coles App ready. Still unsure how I am supposed to scan it with the Coles App.
Can someone in the know share the steps? Where in the Coles App can I scan the QR code at checkout?

I assume for this, the top tab must be on 'In Store'.
In More (bottom right), I can see 'Scan your barcode', but that seems like for presenting my Flybuy? Which should not be necessary anymore with the Coles Pay.
    What am I missing?

    • +1

I saw QR code on the screen of card terminal on self-checkout after you scanned your first item, I assume that's what you need to scan with your phone to link transaction to your coles pay

      • Thanks. Will try it. Cheers.

  • +1

I paid using Cole’s pay today, it was easy.
Keep in mind you need to mention it to the cashier and they will bring up the QR code for you.

  • Anyone got any tips for adding a gift card? Managed to add a coles and Myer gift card but keeps rejecting other Coles gift cards I try

  • going out of my way 5 times for the extra $10 just dont seem worthit..

    • You've upvoted the deal though?

  • I'm receiving an error when linking the Coles Pay to Coles app

  • This is causing a lot of headaches for a free $20. Just paid at self checkout but self checkout said it was cancelled even though it said paid in the app. Lady made me pay again with my card so have to chase up a refund now…

    • +1

Actually, if it is too much trouble, just do the linking part - which is 2000pts.

When it works, it is quite handy, because you can keep track of the amounts in the gift cards automatically.
Sorry to hear that you have to chase for refund. Good luck! And hope this is not a common thing.

      • +2

Annoying thing is you can't do split payment via Coles Pay (unless I haven't figured it out). Agreed that it's good as you can see gift card balance in it (including physical Coles Myer GC added).

        • Yes … that seems to be the case.

Not only that, the checkout person said to me that I should also scan the Flybuy number (this is also in the app) as a first step.
I asked why, since I have linked the Flybuy card to the Coles Pay, surely the system knows that is the card to earn the points for the transaction.

She said I should do it anyway as a precaution. I thought about it - and decided it is correct to do this, until I know for sure (since I want the 5 transactions to count).

          See, there are 2 things:

          • redeem Flybuy points as a payment method - Coles Pay is very clear linking means the card linked can be used to redeem points (well Coles Pay is a payment method. so that makes sense).

          • earn Flybuy points for the transaction - I have not looked into this in detail, but perhaps the linking does not do this. If so, we need to separately present a Flybuy card for the purposes of earning points.

This is not unprecedented with Coles. E.g., you can use one Flybuy card for earning points, and another Flybuy card to use its Flybuy dollars.

I would like to hear from anyone who knows - when you use Coles Pay (without having specially scanned a Flybuy card) does the Coles Pay-linked card earn points for the transaction?

          • +2

@bluesky: Actually, looks like split payment can be done but might be a bit cumbersome (haven't tested it out). I've looked up website and the blurb is:

            Split payments made easy
With the flexibility of mixed payments, you can use bank cards or points, and when in store**, you can use gift cards as well#.

Gift card redemption and payment cards: Gift cards cannot be used for online purchases. You can link up to 5 gift cards in your Coles Pay account. You can load up to 5 credit and debit cards issued by Mastercard (Australian-issued cards only), Visa (Australian-issued cards only), American Express (Australian-issued cards only), and UnionPay (for online use only) into your Coles Pay wallet.

I'll test it out when I'm back in store next.

  • Can someone who has done this please share:

when you use Coles Pay without separately scanning a Flybuy card before paying - and this includes using the Coles App itself to scan the FB card (More->Flybuy->Scan your card) - have you successfully earned Flybuy points for the transaction?

For context to my question, please see above comment

I am trying to find out if the linking of Flybuy card to Coles Pay is simply for redemption of points as method of payment, and not earning points.

    Many thanks.
