If you move around syd a fair bit I would avoid, I keep trying them and am always disappointed, I use another optus sim provider as a backup, if you are tempted but don’t know, try before you buy on their lowest prepaid, I sacrificed most of my 12m Optus prepaid due to poor reception not long ago, will try again in time but not optimistic 😕
Good advice, I abandoned Optus for Vodafone and found out the hard way that Vodafone's coverage is worse in my area…

Can confirm we got this offer (thanks to OP for posting though as I never look at SMS since they're 99% spam).
I picked up one from Lucky Mobile for $218. Haven't received a targeted offer in a long time, i think they know i port out and in, which is what i'm doing now. Running a speedtest simultaneously on Telstra and Optus, i get at least double speed with Optus.
It’s a great deal, despite the potential risk of personal data leaks.
