Thank you OP, I have the entire Doom collection now, was waiting for this type of discount for a while.

  • Great deal

  • Hmm $48… I'm hoping for less tbh

What do you think is a good price for a game that probably cost a few hundred million to develop and launch?

      • Prob 4 bucks

      • $35-40, with patience. If you want it on release day you pay the price.

Mind you I'm not down with $170 RRP they're claiming for digital software. Should be $100 tops.

  • They were really taking the piss for the launch pricing.
Good game and the new game mechanics were a decent change up, but I'd say this is about what the game is worth considering you'll likely never touch it again after the 20 odd hours of gameplay you get.

    • I feel like you may be right.
I hear good things about this game so I'm eager to try it, but I dont thing this price is compelling enough for something I feel like I'd play a handful of times.

But then again, I thought the same about helldivers 2. ended up sinking over 300 into it

  • The best of all the doom games

    • Better than Eternal?

      • Not in my opinion. 2016 was awesome, and Eternal was able to elevate it considerably. Dark Ages had potential, but they (profanity) it up.

I also hated the fact that they didn't carry the theme over.

Eternal is by far my least favourite. Running out of ammo should never factor into a game mechanic.

I liked Dark Ages more. Eternal had me running away from enemies more than I liked. Dark Ages with the shield let me felt like I was brawling.
