  • Thi looks nice so it will be like 15$ per month including international calls? If so ok

But the downside is international roaming - 3 gb for $30 expensive and no calls included. another provider good international roaming … I don’t recall name but it’s famous …
Ok it’s amaysim I was talking about

    • +2

Goes to $35 a month after the first month. Good only for us sim sluts or those who use the old telstra modem instead of NBN

    • +2

$30 for 3GB International roaming does includes calls
      (https://www.belong.com.au/go/international-roaming).
The good thing with Belong is, there is VOWIFI. Meaning, you can call back home.. without having to pay for roaming, as long as you are connected to Wifi.

    • Ok it’s amaysim I was talking about

Yea amaysim's one is quite good/reasonably priced for Australian standards, but Felix Mobile is probably the "best" in terms of price

edit: But eutama's point about VoWiFi is also very valid. Applies to all Telstra MVNOs

      • Yes, all telco roaming are so competitive now, even Optus has $25 roaming for 5Gig - 14 days (which blows Amaysim 2Gb/365 days out). Vodafone is the one that is still so expensive, $5/day $35/7days

        • which blows Amaysim 2Gb/365 days out

I think at face value the Amaysim 2GB/365 days sounds rubbish, but there absolutely is a use case for this

There are two things about it that stand out:

          • Long validity (365 days validity is rare for roaming)
          • Breadth of countries covered (i.e. it is not for a single country, nor for a single region like "South East Asia")

These two points are also why the Felix one is "better", because it is for the same validity period and virtually the same countries, yet it includes double the data (4GB)

It's most certainly not for heavy data users, but for light users who need just a bit of data, it's actually fantastic

          • @illumination: One bad thing with amaysim is lack of data share number share feature with apple watch

Is this feature available in belong free of cost

    • International Roaming… unless you are going overseas multiple times per year, I wouldn't even consider that.

Best eSIM deal for the destination for data with calls via messenger / whatsapp

      done

    • Sorry, I must be missing something. How do you get $15 a month for a whole year + double data?

  • Have Telstra fixed their porting between MVNO's now?
They used to have issues porting from Telstra to Telstra MVNO or between MVNO's that both used Telstra.
I need a SIM to port out of Boost, and then port back in on another starter pack.

    • +1

i've just done this last week (in the same boat as yours) and no issues going from Boost to Belong

      • Boost to Belong is not the same as Aldi to Belong. Boost is not a typical MVNO. Saying that, I did a port from Belong to Woolworths mobile last month. Took a little longer then nornal but worked fine

  • +1

Is the $45 for $20 still available? It's worse than this but slots nicely with the $15/month prepaid data plan.

    • Can you use mobile and data sims interchangeably? I need only a data sim to keep my solar inverter running

      • I'm not sure what you're asking. They're two separate plans so two different sims which can't share data (except manually by data gifting). Is that what you're asking?

        • I was wondering if this can be activated as a data sim. Others give option sometimes to choose between different plans.

          • @Royale with cheese: Yes it can be. You have the option of choosing a plan when you activate. Or it did the last time I activated in December 2025.

  • +1

Good Sim, one of the only Telstra MVNO that has slow down data when you run out, not just end data

    • Oh which others have that?

      • Nah, belong is the only Telstra MVNO that does it.

A bunch of Vodafone MVNOs do it

  • +3

    and use the referral :
    Belong (Mobile): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/api/referral/35
Referral for Belong mobile only. Referrer will receive $20 credit. Referee will receive $20 off next (2nd) payment.

    • Thanks for the tip

      • i'll thank you if you get my code from that system : -)

(and I miss the old times, when the lowest monthly cost was less than $20, and those referrals would basically cover it. I think I had a year for about $25 out of pocket or something of that order. Didn't need much data due to working from home at the time, and not watching video etc when on 'mobile')

        • Will do when i buy. Someone said above i could use it as a $15 data plan. Wondering if that means 3 months covered.

          • +2

@Royale with cheese: No, what I said was the $45 credit SIM card used to be able to be bought for $20 here amaysim Prepaid Mobile Starter Packs: $30 for $12 , $40 for $15 , $50 for $18 (Expired), $150 for $109 In-store Only @ Woolworths

And it seems that it's no longer available.

This deal is higher percentage saving.

I just realized that you can buy this deal 3 times and activate and replace the SIM twice for no cost. That leaves a total of $30 real money spent for $105 credit which divides equally into $15 with no wastage. That gives you 7 months covered.

This is versus $60 real money spent for $135 credit for 9 months covered on the initial deal that I referred to in the first paragraph.

Also you can't do referrals on data plans. Sorry guys.

            • @brisdaz: I am lost here. Sorry for being slow.

How can we combine three sims credit onto one? I did a search and it says credit can't be transferred.

Or are you saying, buy one sim, use data only plan- $15/month and it would last two months and $5 remaining balance. Then do it again twice over. 6 months covered for $30.

  • Currently using their $70/pm 5G 400GB data only SIM. Exceptional speeds, often close to 250 Mbps. No rollover data which sux. I believe this SIM is capped at 150 Mbps

    • +1

That is correct. Only the highest tier plan has higher caps

  • +3

    Thanks OP.

    Remember to use a referral.

First month $30 ($5 credit left over).

Second month, drop down to the $25 plan (will effectively be free, as you have the $5 left over credit, plus the $20 referral).

    • hi. how do u get "First month $30" this deal is $35? tks in advance

      • +1

        This deal includes $35 credit.

But the first month costs $30 (can then drop it down to the $25 plan in subsequent months).

So you can use the, $5 residual credit in the following month (sign up with a referral code, and then get $20 credit).

        • There doesn't seem to be a $25 plan on the belong website any more

          • +1

            @surfingedge: Was working last week.

            First month cheapest is $30.

Then after joining I had the option to downgrade for future months - moved to the $25 plan.

  • How does OP knows it expires 10 March?

    • It says so on the woolworths price tag

    • +2

      I have special skills. 😅

  • Wha if you activate after 23 Mar 2026?

  • Can I buy and use it for one month only to still get 80GB?

  • Also, can OW price match?

    • Check the catalogue if this is mentioned on it. OW will ask for a proof

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

    Bought.

  • Hello,
Any idea where we can find our referral code?

Logged in, but can't see it anywhere….

  • Thanks OP I ended up buying the Sim but switched to the $45 plan giving me 200gb for the next 12 months vs the previous Optus $65 for 200gb plan I was on. Essentially saving $240 a year and when it goes back down to 100gb per month I likely would have already banked 1680gb ish of data anyway since I only end up using around 60gb a month.

    • Makes sense. Someone said above to merge sims with the credit too so check that out.

  • +3

Just a warning. You can't use a gift card (wish, Woolworths, eg etc) to buy this deal as it Woolworths consider this a gift card.

I purchased at a Brisbane Woolworths supermarket. Also wasn't listed as discount (no discount yellow tag) but did scan at the discounted price of $10.

    • +2

I have been following all Belong deals, but have not bought any since 3 or 4 years ago when Woolies already disabled gift card to pay for Belong $25. The truth is that only a handful of OZBers (like you) are interested in it over the years. Hence, not much report regarding the use of gift card has been seen here. BTW, gift card can still be used to pay most others.

$10 is indeed the lowest ever for Belong $35, though.
