Roborock Q10V+ Robotic Vacuum Cleaner (White) $488 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

ATL for this model.

This is a great entry-level vacuum. I've got one of these as an upgrade to my S5 Max and it has been a huge improvement. The mopping is okay, but I only use this to vacuum my carpets. I wanted something with high suction power and good carpet agitation but didn't want to spend $800+ on a more premium vacuum whose mopping feature I wasn't going to use anyway.

A similar model scores very well on the Vacuumwars carpet cleaning tests https://vacuumwars.com/roborock-q10-s5-review/.

FYI when getting this one you're missing out on auto-lifting mop for carpet, a larger battery, and the "structured light" sensor which makes the vacuum better at avoiding small items

Both Q7T+ and Q10V+ have complaints about software glitches, which is surprising because my older Roborocks are rock solid.

    • +4

True, I had this last year. Do not upgrade the software as it will make it unusable and you will end up resetting the unit. I did this factory reset a couple of times which is annoying

      • Are you happy with it overall? Even if there might not be software updates.

We've got pethair and a lot of tiles, some carpet and some rugs, so mostly looking for vacuuming but moping would be nice.

Nope, I returned it as I was not satisfied with the product. Paid over $600 plus when it was half the price as the the rrp on this was $1299 if I am correct.

    • I have the Q7T+ and don't have any software glitches (other than minor issues such as mobile app sometimes forgetting the names of rooms). I'm running the latest firmware.

My only gripe is that the auto-emptying motor is not very powerful, so it always leaves some dust in the robot after emptying, reducing the suction. You need to manually empty it from time to time.

  • Is the increase in suction noticeable? As in, there is way more dust collected in the dustbin while keeping the cleaning time the same?

Depends on what you're upgrading from I suppose, but comparing an S5 Max on max suction to the Q10V+ on balanced, I found that it picks up more dust, also the newer brush designs massively improve the hair tangle performance, my brush is still hair free after around 20 hours on carpet.

If you have deep pile or very plush carpet - I'd suggest a robovac with a base (ie a plate which the robot crawls onto to dock), I have the Q8 and QT7+, the 7+ (and this listing) appears there is no base plate - on deep carpet the robot cannot always align its charging pins and often fails to charge and then dies literally .5mm from the charging pins. The flimsy plastic base with this unit and the QT7+ just doesn't cut it - the robot wiggles it out of place on plush carpet and gets bogged in carpet mm from the charging pins. The Q8 with its dock and attached base plate = no issue.

    • Is there any specific Robovac model you would recommend?

  • Available at the same price at Harvey Norman but this item qualifies for the promotion: 'Spend Over $400 & Get $60 Off' with code EXTRA60 (promotion ends at 11:59 PM AEDT on 22/3/26). This works out to be $428 and can be stacked with discounted gift cards.
