Excellent wall-mounted bike racks for garage bike storage. Simple but solid design, with pivoting bases to allow bikes to swing towards the wall. Far easier to mount than a simpler hook system, and gentler to carbon rims.
Cheapest they've been in a few years, as far as I can tell.

Steadyrack website is 20% off sitewide, with $10 flat rate shipping on orders over $300.

99Bikes will price beat by 5%. You need to be a Club 99 Member ($5 one-time signup fee), but 99Bikes has free shipping so it's still worth signing up to do the price beat even if you're not already a member. (Competitor’s final price inclusive of any taxes and delivery fees, OP's price beat example price $76 adjusted for delivery. — Mod)

If buying online, fill out their Best Price Guarantee online form, and after a couple of hours, you'll be emailed a link to a custom checkout form with the discounted price.
If buying in-store, speak to someone and they can sort out the new price on the spot (check store stock first).

  • these are great, I got mine from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/744876

Yeah, that was a cracking deal! Haven't seen anything that cheap for a while.

    • Still have mine in the box from this deal…….

  • Thanks for the steps! Have been looking at one of these for awhile.

  • question - are these recommended for full carbon road bikes with carbon wheels?

    • +1

I use mine for an older TCR with carbon wheels. Rack never touches the frame or wheel, just the tyres so haven't been an issue for me.
Mine doesn't swing around on its own. There's some resistance to the pivot.

    • Yes

  • also, looks like these don't lock flat to the wall - so they end up swinging around. any other recommendations on space saving bike racks for carbon bikes + carbon wheels?

    • +3

These would be fine for a decent road bike, they have resistance so they don't just swing around at all.
We have one we have used to wash thousands of bikes and it only swivels by itself with heavy ebikes because it's so worn out, but it's mounted in the wall of a round water tank lol so not bolted to a flat surface either

They didn't price beat for me unfortunately as the shipping was so expensive.

  • Jesus, shipping is so expensive :( Forty dollars for the gearmate kit and two small gearmate accessories

Just bought 2 x Steady Rack MTB storage for $160.20 from 99 bikes.

I didn't try and price match… the site gave an extra 10% for buying 2 and ordering online I got the free shipping.

The real deal is in the comments

Thanks, ordered two classic racks delivered for $142.20 delivered

    • Thanks for pointing this out 👍👍

I have these. Good for mountain bikes but not as good for road bikes (tyre moves around a lot). Make sure you keep your tyres inflated otherwise the bike can fall out if they go flat (happened several times to me)

  • They won't price match because their price inclusive of delivery is cheaper.
