Perhaps he was looking for remote control using smart switch. This AC one has electronic press buttons, it can't stay at on position like dial control.

Absolutely. I have both and the DC is a better purchase. The DC can be witched on and off remotely with something like Tapo plug. The AC can only be switched off. Neither can have the speed modified.

I have both the 6303DC and 660, the DC is marginally better in terms of controlling wind/fan speed… (apparently the 660 has more power but seems about the same)
Honestly, the biggest pro is it has a timer, can control fan speed gradually and that it has a remote.
Also, people say power consumption but that bit i haven't really checked.

I also did not think they would be sold out. I looked around the entire store and didn't see any, and I asked the Optometrist if she could do a stock check and she said there were none left. Would be happy to be proven wrong!

The lady on the phone told me they have 200+ units in the system when I called her around 2pm. Floor stock may have run out, there may have been more at the back. Call them first before you come over.
