Anybody know what powder would be similar to WPI from amino Z ? Just bought a kg bag from them, but with the prices rises thinking of grabbing a tub of this for after, but never had experience with Musashi only bulk nutrients and aminoZ

    • I'd like to know as well.

I haven't had Amino Z WPI in a while but my go-to is Bulk Nutrients WPI. Great flavours and mixes super well. Keeps getting more expensive everytime I blink too but still "whey" cheaper than Amino Z.

      • I also find them to be the best

Why not get INC WPI from chemist warehouse? $59 for 1kg or $98 for 2kg and tastes great and mixes well

      • +1

Either that or INC Dynamic Whey
        https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/search?query=inc%20dynam…
        Currently $73.49 for 2kg

Can recommend Chocolate and Cookies & Cream, both are much nicer than the Chocolate Musashi powders.

        • Been buying Protein for 40 years.

INC Chocolate is the worst i have ever tasted.

        • +1

Not sure why people glaze INC Dynamic Whey so much. Comparing vanilla to Musashi vanilla, Musashi has a higher protein % and costs less. Haven't tried INC before so I can't comment on taste but musashi vanilla tastes fine. Why do people on ozbargain prefer INC so much?

@Nobodyy: Musashi was one of the first brands i started on back 30 years ago or so. But they sold out and became much lower quality in a lot of their products. I am sure the pure products are still fine, but personally i am just very disappointed in what they did to their brand.

          • @Nobodyy: Agreed. I buy whichever is cheaper — usually INC or Musashi, because CW puts them on sale every other month.
Yes, when calculating the cost per actual protein content, Musashi 100 is better at the moment. I haven’t seen a good bargain on INC for many months.

WPI just isnt worth it unless youre tracking calories and macros like crazy. For the few extra calories you save $20/kg. Gymbros/Gymgoers have been sold the lie you need WPI to cut or to lose weight or to get your best gains.

        • +4

WPI is much much better for people like me who are lactose intolerant.

        • unflavored WPI is the best protein you can buy
i tried all this other cheaper crap, full of fillers and who knows what, made me sick
prices go up, it is what it is - think about your health rather then few $$ but guess everyone is different

    • 100% whey will be the best offering from Musashi

    • Look, amino z flavours are a tier of their own. They were cheap WPI for a bit now they aren't. If you want cheap protein this deal is for you, if you want good flavours you'll need to pay amino z. There are others like blackbelt protein, bulk nutrients etc but this or inc are what i'm bouncing between at the moment.

  • I tried to get Healthylife to price match this last time and they refused as it was 'below cost price', so if anyone has any luck with a PB anywhere else please let me know and save me the drive across town to Good Price

    • +2

Chemist Warehouse has price matched them for me previously.

      • TY, I'll go for a wander up to my local and try my luck

        • Success - Got it for $61.37

          • @6079 Smith: from chemist warehouse?

            • @mhc: Yep, they asked me where I was Price Beating and if they were in Adelaide as they'd never heard of them (the closest in stock store was a good 20kms away). I assume they looked the product up themselves as I never showed them a screenshot or anything.

  • Is delivery not available?

    • Nah, I could only see C&C

    website slow af

    • +1

Maybe you are just fast af you punk

  • +1

id rather get 100kg of musashi 2

  • +4

No delivery, click and collect only and doesnt appear to be any stores in Victoria? The website is a two pack of ass as well

  • Website struggling… found almost idnetical price at https://discountchemist.com.au/

    • The 100% whey is OOS

  • Can anyone suggest a good protein powder (even better if it has any other vitamins etc included) that is basically taste free? Our son is protein deficient and we've been suggested a couple of "kids" protein powders which are very expensive and are often flavoured, but he doesnt seem to like the taste. Would rather something taste free to add to a milo or hot chocolate etc. Cheers

  • Price beat at Chemist Warehouse no issue, $61 for 2kg WPI, used Wodonga store to match in VIC,BB date Dec 2027 which is pretty good

    • It’s WPC not WPI

      • +1

        it actually a WPI/WPC blend

        • +4

Yep. I consider blends WPC as they almost always contain very little WPI. I only consider a powder WPI if it doesn’t have any WPC

          • @antik: This is true, there used to be a couple of products that provided the % of each and even one product that did a blend but provided % and said the WPI was the higher % product. But majority is WPC with some WPI and HWPI added.

    • yep. this is what I did. First, tried to order from the GP Pharmacy and they didnt have PayPal option and then just went to CW on my way home and asked to beat the price which CW did. The best price since last year Woolies sale..

  • +4

Get 100% Whey, do not get High Protein

  • +1

Confirming you can use Wodonga as for in-state price match at Chemist Warehouse for VIC. Some smart arse employee tried to tell me their phone number starts with 02 hence "out of state".

  • +1

Back in stock in a lot of stores. I was able to price match in Chemist Warehouse in Brisbane.
