What cleaning fluid do you use with it please?

    • -5

Standard price is $150-ish with the docking station. And you're gonna need the docking station.
      This deal is underwhelming
Mine is going strong too btw

      • Couldn't find it for that price with the dock?

        • +1

Temu and with cashback? Or wait for Amazon to drop the price around $200

        • Wait for temu cashback for ultimate discount

      • +2

True but the mere price to quality ratio of this robot vac is a rolled gold bargain. I have one too.
Agree, without a dock, a robovac is not worth owning imo.

        • +3

Yes this vac is gold. You would think it would go obsolete by now but nope lol

        • +4

Why do you say that about the dock? I use mine to clean a 2 bedroom apartment with all the normal room styles. I need to empty it like once every 1/2 whole whips around and like, no offense but I'm cool with walking to the bin once a week. Why is the dock that much better?

          • +8

@IPYF: The difference is you set it to do a scheduled clean every other day and just forget about it. For the first month or so I went without the dock - sure emptying it is no big deal. But having it truly autonomous is where robovacs truly shine.

          • @IPYF: Once a week emptying versus 4-6months emptying the dock…..hmmm

          • @IPYF: offense taken

      • +11

Mine usually needs a hair detangle (which needs a human) at the same time as emptying the dustbin.

So depending on circumstances, I wouldn't say the docking station is essential.

      • +1

I use this with the bigger bin (don't bother with the mop) and don't have a dock so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

      • +3

I have one and don't remember $150 ever being the "standard" price, unless you count irregular sales with cashbacks standard.

    • +2

I'm still very happy with mine for the price but have some notes. The Smartlife app (Android) it runs off is really trash. It will occasionally lose your map and you'll have to run smart clean and remap. The unit will also wander off like a drunk toddler on occasion, and it will often lose its settings leaving you needing to manually pick mop mode. It also is no good at detecting carpet anymore and just mops everything. Out of the box this was all fine. Problems were introduced with firmware updates.

On the advice of LuBluelu support I keep multiple copies of the maps. If the current map is corrupted or lost load one of the backups. Has always worked for me.

On the advice of someone else here the other day, vacuum first then mop only. It does much better that way.

But I still haven't figured out how to get it to sweep corners.

PS: Still going strong after 2 years. Given the thousands of dollars we've wasted over the years on brand name, highly recommended, vacuums that have always failed, I'm happy with our LuBlueLu

        • +1

Cool advice. Thank you on all counts. I'll give all of this a go.

For the price I still think it's a great product. It just does have some 'you get what you pay for' issues, if we're all honest.

      • I copy the map to other 'floors' so when it does a forget, I copy one back. I've never used the mop function. I did buy the empty station and have no regrets about that.
Sometimes (if I leave the lounge door closed) it refuses to go do the hall/bedrooms because it thinks there is a wall now. Even tho it's been through and didn't bother to try. I've learnt to leave the lounge door open when I set it going.
Mine has enough battery to do a double pass in the lounge dining room and kitchen, or 3 bedrooms and the hall. I'll buy another (with the dock) when a deal comes up.

    • Does it run ok without the app and wifi?
This one was under $100 not long ago?

      • +3

I use it without the app and it works great.

      • +1

Got one for my dad without connecting anything and it works great

      • yes

      • For the people who are using it without the app or connecting to internet, are you still able to get the robovac to map your house? Thanks

    • Hi Mick is the lubluelu-store also one of your stores

  • +2

How are these as a mop? I hate our sabeco mop and have been trying to convince the wife away from it

    • +1

The trick is to vacuum first. When the vacuuming is finished, removed the dust container, empty it and fill the water reservoir. Re-install and fit the mop. Now

      Setting >
Work Mode > Mop (tick this)

      Back to Setting

      Cleaning Mode
      Set Y Shape cleaning

and send the robot to do its stuff.

I opt for 2x cleaning on my messy kitchen floor. The SL60D does OK

      • Thanks, while my question was regarding the upright mop vac, before the threads were merged, that was helpful since I'm undecided about a robot vacuum as well.

    • +1

It's terrible for mopping, I pretty much never use it. It basically dispenses water on the mop which makes it wet, and drags it across the room. No agitation or anything, pretty much smearing stains or spilt liquids even further. Although the vacuum function is incredible, especially for the price.

      • idk for my shiny floor boards its actually does really well, gives its a nice streak free finish(footprints disappear) but then again my floors aren't filthy

  • +1

Labubus are branching out to wet/dry vacuums now?

    • +10

Yes, you've commented on a deal for one

    • +1

Came to the comments for the labubu joke 👏

    • +1

      Bit of a Labooboo.

    • What did they do prior?

  • Looks very similar to a Tineco mop i paid 4 x for a few years ago.

  • Anyone who used this, is this really good?

    • +2

Used it daily for at least a year, no major complaints, would buy it again.

    • +2

Incredible for vacuuming but not mopping.

  • I wouldn't bother with his model.
I bought it about 1.5 years ago with the dust bin and it's been 1.5 years of issues.
Has issues finding its base even though it's marked on the map. It docks then immediately unlocks and then has issues re docking.
Issues with. The dust bin constantly saying it's open but it's not. Have open and close dustbin.
Have had to ask for several firmware updates because they do not do OTA updates.
Honestly. I wish I had spent double and just got a better brand.

I miss my original gen xiaomi.

    • 'I miss my original gen xiaomi.' What happened? It ran away?

    • +1

My OG is still running each week. Have had to take it apart twice to fix it without needing to replace the parts. Best purchase as it's lasted this long

    • Mine has lasted 2 years running 3 times a week. Hasn't even had the seemingly common issues of losing the map. I do have to reconnect it to the app when it gets stuck on something, but it keeps the map saved.

    • Gave it to the folks when I bought this. At the time I thought it was going to be a better unit given all the praise it gets on here.

    • wierd, i've had no issues at all with mine, running 2 days a week with mopping, incredible value

  • Tempting to purchase this one but unsure about how good it is on carpets ? And, is there any good deal on dock to purchase for this one ? Or, is it better to wait for a deal to come through that includes both ?

  • +2

I've had this robot vacuum for the past couple of months and highly rate it. Maps out the house with no issues (haven't had it delete the maps by itself) and I can control it remotely using the Smart Life app. I had a "dumb" Roomba previously and it would clean in random directions but this one follows the map and covers every part of it. I always get the urge to buy a back up because it really is fantastic for the price and I want a spare in case this one stops working one day.

  • Had one of these it's obstacle avoidance was terrible got rid of it can't recommend

  • +6

Just ordered the L20 Max + some spare bags for $188 delivered. Includes a dock.

Gemini tells me it's a better model and that's the extent of the research that I did.

    • Thanks! Got this one instead

  • We bought two for around $400ish about 2 years ago and both are still getting the job done..

  • Using this one for 2 years, could vouch for it. Parts is cheap on AliExpress too.
One complain is Smart Life app is absolutely dogwater, the notification is locked behind paywall now, didn't realized it got stuck somewhere until open the app. Integration with Home Assistant is a bit underwhelming too, cannot start cleaning from there and the water tank does leak.
All in all, it's cheap, run quite well, set and forget kind of stuff.

  • Can anyone recommend the 3 in 1 handheld vacuum and mop ?? I am in need on 1 but confused if i should go with this one or the dreame G10 for $199. My budget is under $200.

If anyone have this model and can provide some feedback will be helpful. Thanks

    • +1

This BVC-T8A is actually the same as Dreame Mova K10 Pro. You could refer to the reviews for it.

      • Thanks for the info. I will look it up. 👍

  • Seems to be quite cheaper on Temu? Are those fake by any chance

Came across the L20 Max (with dock) for $202, that's without any coupons or cash back.

  • I bought one yesterday from ebay

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/357883723692?itmmeta=01KJXGYZE54…

    The store name is lubluelu-store

it has 10% off when buying 2 or more items

cheaper to buy the dock and robo vac separately

  • This has been a great little unit
I which the battery was slightly bigger

    However
Trying to get mine fixed under warranty
Was about a year old and stopped charging

They sent me a new water container
    But it’s still not charging
And they not responding to me for weeks now
How long is Chinese new year? No auto response or anything since over a week now
The issue has been online since early Jan
