  Flown both to HCMC dozen plus times.
  
  Barely any difference in quality of product. However, Jetstar for me has had more delays. Multiple 1, 3, 4 hour delays. Luckily no cancellations.

  Never thought I would say this, but Jetstar is much better than Vietjet on this route.
  Vietjet fly their A330s on this route which they have crammed 9 seats per row in a 3-3-3 layout. Most other airlines only put in 8 seats per row in this type of aircraft in a 2-4-2 layout meaning that the seats on Vietjet are narrower to compensate for the additional seat per row.

    Isn't Jetstar is 3-3-3 in a 787-8 which is a tiny bit smaller than an A330

      Other way around! 787 is a bigger (wider) plane than the A330

  Both pretty much the same - but I avoid flying Jetstar because I don't like the 787. If you can get an exit row on VietJet then it's much better.

  Flew on Vietjet earlier this year - Exit row seats on Vietjet are cheap (around 30 bucks)
  
  But since we had checked luggage, we got the package that includes luggage and seat selection, and were able to select an exit row seat.
  
  For Jetstar, I haven't checked but I assume this wouldn't be the case.

  Better food choices on Vietjet over Jetstar

  Better food options on Vietjet (and cheaper going Ex-HCMC) and have found them alot more relaxed on carry-on requirements, especially on the size of your bag. Brought a 60L Backpack (Weighed 7.8kgs in total) without any issues.
  
  Vietjet as Domestic flight is a different situation…
