[iOS, Android] Free Early Access App: FamilyFeed – Shared Family Calendar, Todos & Lists @ FamilyFeed

40

Hi OzB

I’m excited to share the launch of a mobile app FamilyFeed – Family Assistant. A smart app designed to help families stay organized with shared ToDos, Appointments and Lists.

FamilyFeed is free while we’re in early access. It’s completely FREE to download and use, with AI features planned as we grow.. We followed all security & privacy standards along with ABN.

It’s more than just a planner - built with smart bots that keep everything in sync.

It's available on iOS & Android, works on all mobiles, ipad & tablet.

What it does:
  • Shared shopping lists
  • Shared family calendar
  • Shared todos
  • Assignable tasks & chores
  • Reminders & notifications
  • Sync across devices

Still early and actively improving, would appreciate honest feedback.

As a thank you to early users, all features in the current version (v1.0.6) will remain lifetime free for you. Future AI features may be introduced as optional premium extras.

cyber security advice from Newscorp? 🫣

and in no way related to this app.

but Op, how does.l this differ from say a shared Google account?

    • Fair question

Google & other family apps are mostly passive - they store what you enter.

FamilyFeed has Bot intelligence framework that acts on family data and proactively surfaces news feed (low stock, upcoming events, medicine refill reminders, etc). Please visit https://www.familyfeed.me/features/feature-auto-feed.html

It’s built specifically around family coordination rather than general productivity tools.

      • "Web sites prove their identity via certificates. LibreWolf does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for familyfeed.me. The certificate is only valid for the following names: familyfeed.ai, *.familyfeed.ai"

        Might want to fix that.

  • So this is just free advertising for your app?

I normally pay for beta versions of family organiser apps, so this is a great bargain. Said no one ever.

Is there any actual deal like discounted fees when you start to charge or is this just an ad?

We haven’t finalised a pricing model yet. The app is fully free right now.

If we introduce paid(or AI) features in the future, early users will receive special discounts.

Yea just because of this I will not even download it. So I get my entire family on this and ise it for say 6 months just to be told its now $50 per year or something. Either let early users be lifetime for free or a set price going forward after the pricing has been decided.

I genuinely appreciate early users because honest feedback helps shape the app properly.

As a thank you, all features available in the current version (v1.0.6) will remain lifetime free for early users.

In the future, I’m planning to introduce some AI-powered features which will increase running and API costs. Those advanced features may be offered as optional premium additions.

    • There was another similar app recently that I think was offering free lifetime licences.

This one is looking like free for a while then once you're hooked on it, the sub kicks in.

      • It sounded similar. Maybe AI dev platforms like Lovable and Bolt are good at making home planning apps!

  • Im stuck. Signed up in the app, said check my email for verification code, tabbed out to check, tab back in and the app refreshed itself to the login page. I try to log in and it says please confirm email. I sign up again, account already exists. How else do i confirm my email??

    • Thanks for trying..

Unconfirmed accounts will be purged after few hours, please try again.

We will verify the scenario of "app refreshed itself to login page"..

      • How many hours? I just tried again and it said user email exists something like that

        • It's already done long time ago. Do you mind sending your email to contact@familyfeed.me, I'll verify.

          • @SriFromMel: You may also use apple or google sign-in which does not require one time verification.

            • @SriFromMel: Nah i dont wanna link my gmail, as thats for my official stuff il email that cheers

In short you are seeking for beta testers. Nothing wrong with that per-se, but you should have built & finalized your remuneration model by now.
You should have made a legal binding offer for beta testers, with ongoing benefits.

I have been burnt by CamScanner before.

FWIW, I personally dislike subscription models. So I am non-commital on this. If you have a life-time premium offer, would have jumped on this.

As mentioned in the description, all features in the current version (v1.0.6) will remain lifetime free for early users.

If we introduce AI features in the future, they would be optional premium additions core features won’t be moved to subscription model.
