Is the 27" a good price too? I feel 32" will be too big for me.

    • +14

No such thing, 32" is just awesome :)

Once you go big….you can't go back

      That's what she said

The curve does help make it feel smaller

      • nonsense, they told me they like the curve upwards hits the right spot

    • I got 2x 32" and they are fine. 2x 27" would be good too.
Definitely worth getting curved for multiple 27" and over.

My s3220dgf still going strong, seems just as good as anything new out, a lot don't seem to have the same amount of inputs or quality stands .

Ok champ, glad your happy with what you have, a rare gift!

        • No worries sport. Don't get much for selling stuff and being a slave to the upgrades, don't even game much.

2x27" would be enough (given the screens are 2k), still not much around in an ultrawide equivalent.

@G-Shock: Exactly. I have a 1080p ultra wide from 10 years ago. Looks terrible but it's a widescreen and it works, can't be bothered upgrading. Gotta resist the urge for the latest and greatest.

32" For competitive IS way too big. For casual / fun gaming however it is great.

27" is a perfect middle ground for competitive AND casual / fun.

25" I personally went for a 25" 300hz in the end, as I competitively play CS2 and rust.

(This is from my personal experience with all of these monitors sizes)

      hope this helps.

Excuse my ignorance but how would this be for video editing on a Mac mini m4? I know it's not 4k but I don't want to spend a heap.

Probably want IPS or OLED for the better color if you are going to be doing color grading. Also make sure you buy a color calibration device.

I'm interested in getting a curved monitor for my home office - would a VA panel be okay for general office work (emails, excel, powerpoint etc)? I don't do any coding, video editing or anything really that requires colour accuracy.

    • +3

Yeah they are good for general usage. Contrast ratio makes them nice to watch TV shows/movies on too.

  • Tell them to make it IPS and knock $50 off the price and it's a deal

  • I paid $179 after cashback from woolworths site 😃

    • +1

      That's a win !

    • I guess this deal is over?

      • +1

Yes wait for Marketplace cashback 28%

Samsung has no control on marketing and expect us to believe on Samsung devices.
Feel free to nag—— me if I am wrong 😄

  • $12 cheaper from samsung ebay store

  • Got a macbook from office and as working as a support guy, where people do remote sharing. I have always struggled to read their text on my dell monitor and i eventually end up going back to mac while i am call.

I see this a VA panel, can you guys suggest any good monitor that can help with this based on your experience.

    Thanks

    • If you're just doing office work, it being a VA panel shouldn't matter that much? You might see some smearing of black text on a white background but text clarity will be fine.

      • it would be fine and most likely better than the ones most work places provide.

    • $15.00 sent to WA

Total $239.10 (with samsung 10% off + $15 delivery to WA (free delivery without code))

    • $234 free delivery at woolworths

      • damn.. where was your smellybum 3hours ago when i placed the order

        • +1

I was dropping off a load

    • It looks like it is free delivery to WA on the Samsung Ebay store with Ebay Plus

  • This or 32gn600-b for $249 at scorptec?

    • By the way reddit user reviews say G55C is Garbage….

      • I almost grabbed on, but the reviews are not great. I can see why its discounted so much.

  • Samsung shop charged $15 delivery bah

  • Would this be good for main purpose of web browsing, spreadsheets, word docs etc. Secondary purpose will be casual gaming which will be fine.

Side note sometimes I can find test a bit small and I have recently been increasing zoom to 125% on chrome. I also would like double monitor. Current setup is 2 x crappy benq GW2270

    TIA

    • +2

      Sure, and cheap.

  • I had one of these monitors and they’re pretty bad no way to adjust the stand much either, I highly do not recommend.
