  • technically ATL was $909.50 3 months ago. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/931331

But I think this is the second lowest of all time if you don't include cashbacks or other bonuses.

Shame its not the Reaper or Prime.

    • true, missed that. back in november right as ramageddon hits. good times

    • Been using this XFX model for a few months now, no complaints.

It is quite a chonky boi but it keeps temps and noise down

      • Oh yeah, only reason why i am saying its a shame is because its a chonky boy.

    • these things do well in Ray tracing?

      • Ray tracing is fine, path tracing not so much.

Price to performance though is excellent.

If you're using Linux or considering switching to Linux in the future there is much better support currently for AMD based cards too which is worth keeping in mind considering the consistent degradation of windows as an OS

        • Yeah I am thinking about going to Linux the nvidia support however is terrible on linux

    • FWIW the Powercolor Reaper had the highest service % (i.e. customers raising tickets due to problems) of any 9070XT model: https://videocardz.com/newz/asrock-rx-9070-xt-taichi-and-pow…

The Reaper is at 3.83% in this dataset, which may sound low but is much, much higher than the Swift at 0.68%

      • Oooh that's interesting. I didn't know that.

  • Why did they change their name from gg.tech365, I dont think they will be on the list to redeem the game code.

    • Damn. Should have bought the cheaper open box one from Shopping Express ($919) which comes with game code.

  • I'm expecting I'll look back on this post after rampocalypse prices mean a 16GB GPU costs more than a car and wish I bought all of these.

    • Eh in my non expert opinion, I do think Ram prices will plateau and stabilise soon. They won't go down any time soon though. So I think GPU Prices won't be crazy for AMD. Nvidia Cards tho… RTX 5070 ti will become a rarity.

      • im genuinely curious though, its the same big 3 companies (samsung, sk hynix and micron) that make GDDR6 and DDR5. and DDR5 is like ~3x the price is was before nov. but gpus except the 5090 haven't shown any crazy price hikes. the cheapest 16gb DDR5 now is like $300 vs ~$70 4 months ago. I get there was probably long term supply contracts but is that the only reason

  • Great deal if you can redeem crimson desert as well!

    • Confirming you can

  • Just wish it had more RAM. Tossing up between this and a couple of hundred more for a 7900XTX.

Lower Raytracing capability vs enough VRAM to keep DCS VR fed.

    • I have a 9070XT, but if I could have located a 9700XTX for a little bit more I probably would have gone there. My main game is FS2024 and the more VRAM the better.

      • Coming from an RTX 3090 and I often use most of that VRAM. $1200-1300 seems pretty decent.

      • Same. Wish they had a 20 or 24Gb variant for a few more $

    • is the 7900 XTX the same generation as 9070xt?

      • No

24GB VRAM and rivals the 9070 XT in raster but falls behind by a fair margin in ray-traced workloads. Also (officially) only supports FSR 3.X upscaling and frame gen, not FSR 4 which is leagues better.

  • Been used and it was thicker than expected (3.5 slot)
Had to sell it and go for recent reaper deal for SFF

(Not my photo but FYI https://i.redd.it/xfx-swift-rx-9070xt-v0-a8f7po2uxk3f1.jpg?w…)

  • With all the people selling (trying to) used 3080s and 6800s for 600+ . These 9070xt deals are a no brainer

    • thanks for reminding me mate!! my 3080 10gb ram needs to be retired ><D!! hahaha. next i need to find a good case to fit this beast HAHAHA if anyone can recommend a good case for this hehe

      • You might miss having DLSS and DLAA going from a 3080. Just a thing to consider.

        • Not just that , also path tracing. CP2077 in path tracing mode looks amazing. It runs ok on my 3080 ever since they added the DLSS ray reconstruction feature.

          • @puppetmaster: i dont really play single player games, usually mainly FPS games and sometimes MMORPG's

        • dam good point.. idk if i use them.. the only game i usually play is Hell Let Loose and soon the new game Vietnam game they're coming out with

      • hahaha
        HAHAHA
        hehe

    • should have i waited for 7900 XTX instead of 9070xt?

  • price is good but dont expect superb driver support like nvidia. changed my 9070 xt to a 5080 because some retro games and virtual machines arent supported by amd's drivers. 5080 works fine on all of them.

    • So you went from 6900XT -> 3090 -> 4070 Ti -> 9070 XT -> 5070 Ti -> 5080 ??? Surely that's gotta be some BS.

      • boy has $$

      • i like buying graphics cards

    • NVIDIA literally just recalled their latest driver update because it was so cooked

AMD drivers have been perfectly fine for like 7 years now

  • You guys shouldve bought a 5070ti back in December for ~$1150.

    • I shoulda got the PowerColor Hellhound Spectral AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB Graphics Card $836.19 on 17/09/2025! ><D

      • Honestly that was the graphics card deal of the year lol

        • and didn't a bunch receive hair dryers?

    • I wish! Also missed the sff zotech recently for 1250

  • Just FYI, for the game redeem, you need the retailer to send you a code, then verify the GPU via a AMD hardware, not sure if the code is unique, I guess you can ask the seller if they can provide one if purchased. Manage to ask scorptec to send one even my purchase was 1 day earlier than the promote period

    • Message the seller. Got mine today

  • i made an order for one! thanks! but should i cancel it and try wait for 7900 xtx to go onsale again? im not in huge rush to upgrade from rtx 3080 to be honest

    • was planning to holdout till next gen gpu's come out.. but i guess i could just use the 9070xt until next year gpu's come out etc. this is a good deal

    • You can buy the 7900 XTX for $1099 currently in the ShoppingExpress Open box sale if you prefer

    • Not the same card, 9070 and 9070 XT are different. And it has been that cheap new on its last deals.

    • That is a good price for the plain 9070

  • thats a good price for 16bgb plus you get a GPU for free

  • Why do these keep getting cheaper? Is AMD willing to take a bit of a cut to try and claw back any fraction of a % of market share?

  • I thought that GPU prices are suppose to increase higher due to RAM? What's going on here?

    • I suspect it's because the AUD has gained 10c on the USD over recent months.

    • There's currently an oversupply of graphics cards, but an under supply of RAM, meaning that there is overall less interest in DIY Pc building due to increased costs.

But once the cheap stock is all gone, the next batch of graphics cards will cost more.

There are also rumors that Nvidia aren't releasing any new GPU's this year. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1qwu5e0/repor…

      • Yeah super series seems to have been cancelled, and the rtx 5070 ti is I think is the first 50 series to have it's production closed.

  • No brainer at this price. TBH wouldn't touch nvidia even at the same price as long as they are using that mess of a power cable

  • any good BYO gpu deals to put this in?

  • Almost tempted to buy one as a spare for the GPU shortage apocalypse

  • i have this card and have been disappointed by the development and adoption level for FSR4. Feels like it's a generation behind and there doesn't appear to be any progress being made

    • Think there's just less incentive for developers to optimise for it when NVIDIA is using it's deep pockets to fund DLSS adoption.

    • The leaked FSR 4.1 is looking like a pretty major step up: https://imgsli.com/NDUxOTc4/3/2

    • It has been disappointing. Although it doesn't really matter to me since I don't need DLSS or FSR4 for the games I play.

But I was very annoyed that Clair Obscure Expedition 33 didn't have FSR on release and Intel had their upscaling on release…

  • thanks
    bought
