    Tom Clancy’s The Division $4.49 @ Steam

This is definitely more challenging than "Tom Clancy’s The Subtraction"

    It's a bit long though…

Anything Tom Clancy Division is discounted due to The Division 2's 10th Anniversary celebrations.

For instance Division 2 Standard Edition is currently $4.99 (90% off)

    • +3

Which is better? Division 2 Standard Edition, or one of the other editions?

For the full experience you'll want to go for either the Gold Edition or Ultimate edition. They both contain the story expansion DLCs Warlords Of New York and the new Battle For Brooklyn.

For the crazy price it's going for at the moment, just go the Ultimate Edition which also has the specializations unlocked, 8 extra missions, cosmetic packs and 1000 credits to spend in the ingame store.

Source - me……1,406 hrs game time.

If playing coop with a friend and one person has the ultimate edition - can the other person buy the base edition and still get into the DLC areas by the person who paid for the ultimate edition?

        • Are you on pc? Would love to play with you if so. SHD 5k casual weekend warrior with only a single main character.

  • I killed a few hours in The Division 2… decent game

Imo division 1 had a bigger impact on me than division 2 particularly the giant dark zone in the middle of the map. It would have been great if they gave it fontinued treatment after 2019.

I also thought the gearsets looked so much cooler in Div1 as well. Loved the look I got all my max characters to. In Div2 they seemed all look like ARC Raiders characters.
This may have changed after time, but I was long gone by then…

      • I agree too. Loved the classified sets they were ridiculously hard to get (a decently optimised one at least) waiting til your corresponding ge event, pier 23 and survival were the eqsiest ways to get them.

In no order d3fence, predator and striker were the faves

  • +3

Division 1 has the better atmosphere and environment.

Division 2 has quality of life improvements. Still playing it a bit and has a decent number of active users. End game is a bit lot of gear optimisation.

    • Are you on pc @Caped Baldy
Would love to play with a fellow ozbargainer!

      • You wouldn't be lordra9? Or something along those lines?

  • for 4.99 its good value, but end game is just a massive grind, gear dilution with new loot every season, and in the end you can clear most content running all red Striker's build which renders 80% of the gear the game drops as trash. (Sorry this comment is referring to Div2)

Division 1 is still a great game with great atmosphere.

the story and setting is great, still miss the Dark Zone survival mode.

  • pretty sure this was one of the early concepts of shooter extraction

4.49 is basically coffee money for The Division. Even if you just run through the campaign once and mess around in the Dark Zone, that’s solid value.

    • I remember running through under levelled in the dz doing gold chest runs and extracting. How exhillarating.

  • I'm not really a shooter fan and hardly ever play multiplayer.

I've completed the single player bits of both 1 & 2 back during their free periods.. Coming from someone who isn't big into shooters, I found them fun and enjoyable.

  • Ubisoft.

  • Division 1 and 2 on Xbox Series X is how I played these

controller is not a great thing for aiming lol

but I immensely enjoyed Division 1. the atmosphere, endless exploring, different weather and time of day, it's a beautiful game

division 2 didn't quite get it, but I would come back to it when I feel that I am "done" with Division 1

and other games lol. after they released improvements for Control Ultimate Edition on xbox, I got stuck playing it again. best game ever made

  • Does anyone know if buying the Division 2 still then launch through the Ubisoft launcher?

I have the Division 2 with Warlords of NY DLC on there and want to get Battle for Brooklyn but that’s still currently ~$18.36 when I can buy the base game and DLC’s on Steam with the gold bundle for $13.49.

Just don’t want to lose the build I already have on Ubisoft launcher but it doesn’t mention anything about using a 3rd party launcher so I’ll guess the save won’t carry over?
