    Ebay showing 437.95 less ebay plus code 30.add delivery 18.87 = 426.82

    Am i missing something??

    • That is correct.. what OP was implying is you could score 5% or 10% discounted gift cards which will bring it lower.

  • is this it, are SSDs dropping below $100/tb again?

    • +3

I mean this is a 4TB drive which are generally cheaper per tb and the Australian dollar is higher than it has been for a while.

Cant seem to find the spec sheet that verifies TLC?

    • Best thing to do in this case is to contact PC Case gear and ask them to confirm themselves.

    • +5

It's TLC. Z44A7Q is the QLC version of the same drive. TeamGroup are pretty honest about which are TLC and QLC. Vulcan Z vs Vulcan Z QLC, MP44 vs MP44Q, etc.

Could I offer you a nice egg, in this trying time?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNyUALnj8V0

  • Most likely a Maxio MAP1602 or MAP1608 + YMTC QLC memory
Would be most similar to the Lexar NQ790

    • +5

      Not qlc
      Z44A7 is tlc
      Z44A7Q is qlc.

  • Is it good for legion laptop secondary storage? And risk

    • Seems fine according to one of the reviews, depends on the model of course

    • think the main one is short length, secondary is full length 2280

  • Would this be good to put into a USB4 enclosure for transferring large 20-60GB files? Or would speeds throttle due to no Dram?

    • -1

My understanding is that any SSD would "throttle" with transfers that big.
So DRAM is going to have very little benefit for enormous files.

  • I paid 460 for 990 Pro 4tb early this month.
300 is better price but you are likely unable to get it now days

  • Got my hands on a 4 bay SSD NAS dirt cheap recently. Super tempting but still $1596 for 4 drives :(

    • Do you have link for it ? Looking to buy 4 bay NAS as well

      • This one but not on sale anymore.

      • However I have noticed Beelink now have the ME Pro that would be worth considering. 3x NVMe and 2x SATA.

        • Thank you so much :)

        • Its a shame they don't offer a barebones, no RAM, no SSD kit!

        • Is Intel N95 fast enough to transfer over SMB at NVMe speeds?

  • Torn whether to buy this. But really need 4tb storage upgrade gen 4. Anyone found any better deals going on?

    • I'm selling 4tb Samsung 990 Pro brand new

      • How much? Dm me

  • awful lot of discounts lately i thought ssd's were meant to be going up even further in price?

  • Won’t buy QLC

    • +2

      Another comment in here says

      Z44A7 is TLC
      Z44A7Q is QLC

The one in the deal is without the Q so it should be TLC, it's DRAMless though.

      • I’m using it for playing games and game storage only so dram not too much of an issue as gaming is read heavy vs write heavy where Dram shines. I’m just happy it’s TLC, that’s much more important to me

  • Is it confirmed 100% if this is TLC vs QLC?

  • When I bought it on Friday I just thought it looks better than the Biwin M350 and I didn't want to wait further.
If it is really TLC then it's a delightful surprise to me.

  • Z44A7Q got dropped to $399 as well with free shipping. This is the QLC version indicated on their website.

  • Look what just arrived: https://imgur.com/a/iieJCtQ
Now, how to check if it's TLC or QLC?

    • I think you peel back the sticker but be careful not to rip, it will void your warranty, heat it with a hairdryer first to reduce chance.

Look for the NAND chips and then google the model printed on them.

      • Thanks for the tip… but I'm not that brave :)

        • +1

          Brave? It's a sticker…..

  • +2

T-Force Z44A7 TB is a clone of Lexar NM790 but with lower rated TBW (2000 vs 3000)
    MaxioTech MAP1602 controller
    YMTC X3 TLC (4th gen, 232-layer 3D NAND flash)

    Detailed review here:
    https://www.linuxlinks.com/teamgroup-z44a7-m2-nvme-ssd-revie…

  • Shame it's $599 now :(

  • once exisiting stock sold out, the real price will start to show, NAND flash cost went up by almost 5 times, but ssd price only doubled or tripled depending on the model.
see a good deal and you actually need an ssd you should just grab it, it's not likely price will come down anytime soon
