    Hands full, no rambling review

    -Was fine, fun
-Don't remember if you see alison brie nude, but maybe, so, bonus
-ending didn't ruin it like insidious, but I wasn't super impressed with the ending, didn't tie a lot up to my expectations
-basic premise is quite fun and original, and (not a shock since they've been together irl for years) they make a very believable and likable couple

      Horror , Romance

      Well, I wasn't expecting this combo ^^
Is that a horror like scary movie, or just intense drama?

      • +2

it’s body horror, so… a bit of both?

        • so its the romantic version of the Thing?

      • +1

It's honestly hard to say these days, there's so much genre bending, and subversion, and intentional weaving of multiple things. I mean, look at a movie like Barbarian, loved it, but I treat it halfway like a comedy rather than a straight horror, or even a thriller.

This is kind of like that, it's a bit of a lot of things. It's hard to talk about without spoiling really, but it's not a romance movie…but I mean, the couple and their situation is very much the core of the story. It's not a drama, but again, how [plot] affects them and everything is the core of it. It's not a horror, but, once again, there's horror elements, naturally, to the entire premise.

It's really a lot of things, and it juggles them quite well. I think it's a well made movie, the leads are great and have a natural chemistry with eachother, which, again, not a shock when they've been together since before James was knoooown to be a freak, but it doesn't always translate on the screen. A movie like this lives or dies based on how watchable the leads are and I thought they were both great.

I'll have to rewatch it again, I think the end wasn't actually like, bad. Not by any stretch, but I definitely remember a few things, particularly with the one guy (you'd know by the end) that I wished were wrapped up better. But that's really one of my main and only failings with a lot of modern "horror" movies, so many don't know how to end.

I liked this one! Filmed in the forests east of Melbourne.

  • Is this not the script that they stole from someone else and gave no credit and got caught and sued.

    Don't watch it while eating.

    • How does it compare to, say, the human centipede?

      • +1

        Less shitty (ay)

Is this the rapist Franco or his brother?

    • who is franco?

    • his brother

    • It's little goblin junior, junior.

His little brother who likes to play like he's completely clean and had no idea, but rode his brother's coattails at every single opportunity for years, until it became publicly damaging to be friends with James he was that freaky.

Maybe he's never done anything himself, and ideally he hasn't. He spent years where almost everything he was in was a project James was involved with. He spent his whole life being perfectly fine with his brother until it was a publicity nightmare to be seen with him. Much like Rogen, at some point, you'd have to have been stupid to have genuinely not seen any of the things he was doing.

Pineapple Express is still golden. I can do the whole art/artist thing (when it's something I've already seen, like, if you'd heard everything about Michael Jackson and then heard a song of his for the very first time, it's going to be a bit different, I mean to say I'm happy to rewatch stuff after a gronk has been outed, you know?), but like the 70s Show people, I find it hard to believe such a tight circle had no clue about his wheelings and dealings.

Dave is fine. Enough. He'd be lucky to be half the actor James is though, shame he's a big ol' freak.

Is it free to watch without prime subscription?

    • You need Prime.

    • It is free if you know a friend who has prime subscription and can watch through their window.

  • IMDB 6.7, I haven't watched it yet but it gives me Cronenberg vibes

I hate the key art for this film - it's so dang creepy! Always makes me scroll away asap.
