[Back Order] Electrolux PURE C9 Animal Bagless Vacuum Cleaner (Chili Red) $320 + Delivery ($0 to Select Areas) @ Appliance Giant

60

Was looking for a good bagless pet vacuum and found this as one of their top 3 for stick/barrel vacs on the Choice website:
Choice - best vacuum cleaners for pet hair
RRP is supposedly $550 but generally available for about $400 from TGG etc so $320 delivered seemed like a pretty good deal to me. And it's a sexy "Chilli Red" (well, as sexy as a vacuum cleaner can get - which is not that much really).
Expected delivery is about 3-4 weeks so not really an option if you need a vac ASAP.

Brief Specs:

  • Bagless
  • 1200W
  • HEPA Filter
  • 2 Year Warranty

Full specs: Electrolux - Pure C9 Pet canister bagless vacuum cleaner - Chili red

Free delivery is only available to selected metro areas (e.g. Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth).

Current estimated delivery timeframes are late March 2026.

  • I had one and hated almost everything about it. Ticks all the boxes on paper, but everything felt backwards. The long cord is the only positive in remember. I've gone back to Miele.

Get a Miele. You will not regret.

Overhyped and overpriced! Took them forever to change to bagless and still meh..

  • I have a Pure C9 and generally happy with it, however, these C9s have a common problem where the control board burns out after a year or so of use. Something to consider

High failure rate on the motor too. Probably at least in part due to poor maintenance.

Anyway, no one should buy bagless. Bagged vacuums will always perform better, last longer, require less maintenance and are more hygienic.

  • Weird to see all this. I've had one for 4 years now. No issues at all with reliability or functionality, it's been great. This is with a golden retriever my partner insists comes in the house all the time. So it's not like it isn't being put through its paces.

    • I've had one for a couple of years as well, only issue I've ever had is the motor overheating due to my own lazy ass not checking the filter and cleaning it when required (only did that once). It does have a weird quirk though - if you vacuum up something round like a bead or similar, it whips around the filter chamber at 3 million rpm instead of just dropping into the basket - you have you stop the machine and get the little item out. It's annoying as hell but it doesn't happen that often.
