Here is a tip. A little more detail won't go astray.

Why don't you want an ashtray?

    What further details are required?

      How many people?
      Style, rating or type?
      CBD or suburbs?

If you're not specific you'll get recommendations like Cross Keys 🤣

      • Thanks I have updated my post

  • If you fancy staying in a historic pub, the Metro Hotel is fairly cheap. Just be aware it is a pub "hotel" and not an actual hotel. You may be too old for that kind of shit.

I usually stay at the Ibis. Its an Ibis but a nice new one, great location and nice city views. You could also try booking through Hopper, they often have cheap deals especially if you're new.

    • The Ibis is where I recommend friends and family.

    • Also +1 for the ibis.

    • It was $233/night for your dates from the hotel website when i checked, double room.

You might struggle the Adelaide festival is on. It will be crazy busy due to that and the long weekend. Adelaide isn't a very big place…

    • This! Accommodation close to the city that doesn’t cost the earth will be terrible (and hard to get so close to your dates)

      Adelaide Festival 2026 (Feb 27–Mar 15)
      Adelaide Fringe (Feb 20–Mar 22),
WOMADelaide (Mar 6–9), and the Adelaide Cup (Mar 9)

Try Mawson Lakes Hotel or hotels around Mawson Lakes , and you can catch the train to the city.

Yup it's like their busiest month of the year! My parents love going to the fringe and Adelaide festival. They book accommodation at least 6 months in advance.

Plan and book your trips earlier is my tip.

Booking late during a busy period will inevitably lead to high prices.

Steep rough. On the streets on a piece of thin cardboard

  • We stayed at the Riviera Hotel before, was decent for the price and location.

  • Holden Hill Police Complex got free accommodation for two adults, closer to the city, can use o-bahn, not a pub, no alcohol allowed and 3.5 Stars.

    • Holden Hill police station is mostly closed down. It has limited business hours, no cells anymore and it's CIB operations have been relocated to either the city or Elizabeth.

Why didn't you book earlier? I book my long weekend accommodation as early as April the year before sometimes, knowing how whack pricing can get e.g. I've seen the ibis being sold at $450 a night.

Holiday Inn Express has rooms for your dates at $258/night (or $217/night if you use the Visa Corporate Code). Or you can try the Mayfair before they close for refurbishment next month at $337/night.

Try Majestic Suites north Adelaide , there are free buses that go to CBD too

    Motel Adjacent Casino

    • Scotty's

      • Pavlos

  • Stay some where like the TeaTree Suites and catch the obahn from TTP

Adelaide CBD is pretty grim to be honest….

I would suggest staying near the beach side (Henley, etc). Its not that far out but the ambidence is much better. I suspect prices will be higher.
