I really don’t see why anyone wouldn’t do the referral one?? $125 vs $100?

  • Do I need to do the 5 transactions for the referral scheme?

    • Csnt you just sign up get money and leave.

    • Can you please elaborate on the "bad"?

        • +1

Which companies are we to look up on Google Maps for reviews? ING have no retail branches.

Maybe tell us why they are evil in your own words if you don't want your neg to be revoked again by the community.

@Lucille Bluth: Do your own research before you jump in, i cant hold your hand….

@Tsapena: If you're going to neg a deal (which has now been removed), you should substantiate the reason for it. That's the point of leaving negs rather than telling people to do their own research.

I already got my $100 from another deal, I don't need to do any research. I got what I wanted to get from the previous deals.

@Lucille Bluth: ING has no retail branches? That is false because they asked me to complete the verification in a branch before opening my account. Been with the bank for a few years now and never needed to go back to the branch but if I wanted to, I could.

never needed to go back to the branch but if I wanted to, I could.

              Are you sure about that?

I think ING would know if they had branches.

How do I bank with ING without branches?

We realise not relying on a branch is something we all need to get used to, so please refer to our ways to bank page to view a list of how you can bank with us without needing a branch.

How can I do my own banking with ING?
As a branchless bank, we've got self-service banking options sorted

            • @Wrongguy: They used to have just 1 branch in Sydney, near Wynyard Station, but I haven’t really been past it in years to check whether it even still exists.

Even ignoring that, they’re still essentially a branchless bank. They don’t seem to have any other branches anywhere else.

Gonna have the elaborate on that, only thing ING gets a bad rep for is being alot more guarded and taking more time for compensation when you get scammed.

        • +1

That's not exactly helpful for anyone, you've spent more time arguing with people why you don't need to elaborate when it would have been more productive if you just gave some semblance of a reason.

Your comments talking about the problems of ING are painting with such a broad brush that it could mean literally anything. Are you talking about their limited 4 pin pass codes? Their lagging 2FA? Slow customer service? Time it takes for scam detection? Their slow compensation when scammed?

You say bad reviews there are dozens of websites. What are the topic of bad reviews? CS? Fraud? App? There are literally thousands of reviews of customers complaining about different things half of which are not really even talking about the actual bank so we have no idea what you're referring to.

No mention of previously held accounts or any cooling off period?

Seems like theres a few ing employees here negging me for the heads up, lol

    • +1

please do your own research about how "heads up" as a term is usually used. I can tell you that you are not using it correctly.
(and I have never worked for any bank, particularly not ING)

      • -3

This statement is according to you, not me.
I can say whatever i like mr ing

      • -1

Yes dad, i will do as you say

      • -2

You come across as a control freak, yes ? Lol !

        • i'm interested in how ING are reviewed, but I don't have time to read lots of them. You claim to have knowledge of this but have consistently refused to share that. Refusing to share detail is not giving "a heads up", it is the opposite.
          (in my opinion)
If you think I am wrong, then "do your own research" (to use your phrase) and provide detail of where I should change that opinion.
Or just decide that you can have statements be negged, and that is how things are.

          • -2

@AdModnar: Yes mr control freak, i wont be spending my time providing you with something that your interested in, you will need to dig it up for yourself. Youre probably old enough to open your own account and therefore able to do your own research.
Google maps shows 2 stars from 577 reviews - what more can one say,

            • @Tsapena: thanks. I believe the idea that I am a control freak would be laughed at by several of my past employers, but gonna leave this now

    • -2

Yes, yes, yes, i knew it….

    • Don’t think ING would have this many employees given that they’re a branchless bank. You’re being downvoted for being vague, and refusing to provide anything worthwhile when people ask for some actual clarification.

  • +1

On the off chance the only person on ozb who hasn't had an ING account in the past 10 years do it via referral. Benefits 2 people and higher reward.

  • How do you check if you can refer? Doesn't appear on app

    • Check in menu - offers - ING offers I've not seen anyone not have it there.

  • Seems like I can only use the listed coupon code OR a referral when registering? Does anyone have insights?
