What will stop me getting my cashback

  • A completed quote is not an eligible purchase and therefore ineligible for cashback. You will only be eligible for cashback on a completed purchase of a policy.
  • To be eligible for cashback, all policies & plans must become financial and held without cancellation or pause for a minimum of 90 days from start date.
  • Your Compare The Market policy must use the same email address as your TopCashback account. Failure to do so may result in cashback being declined. Further, you must only purchase policies on your behalf. You are not permitted to purchase policies on behalf of other people, as cashback can be declined.
  • If you receive a call from CTM's call centre, they will open the original quote used via TopCashback's URL. Tracking will continue as normal provided you don't start a new quote for any reason. Note you will not qualify for both cashback and CTM gift cards (if offered). Your cashback may be cancelled if you attempt to claim both.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

Solid cashback (I've upvoted). I'm not implying this is a better alternative, just potentially complimentary to figuring out the best option:
Aus Gov has this tool which compares all insurance providers, whereas I believe CTM, iSelect etc. favours some providers: https://www.privatehealth.gov.au/dynamic/search/start

    • same exp as my cashback was delivered on time as well

  • Can you purchase a policy that starts next month and still be eligible?

I also participated in the last TCB CtM cashback offer, do I have to wait a while before being eligible?

    • +1

Nothing in the terms suggests that you're ineligible because you've participated in a previous promo.

I'll defer to @tightarse about the start date question

FWIW I have future dated policies and had TCB pay out with no issues in the past

Does this stack with each provider's own signup offers? Eg 4 weeks free cover after 8 weeks paid / bonus gift cards etc?

    • +1

Based on my prior experiences, yes

    • +2

Yes, just make sure it's listed in the CTM plan view - I looked today and saw the offers don't always match the same ones on the actual website e.g. Bupa via CTM = 6 weeks free, whereas its 10 weeks on their homepage.

That said Bupa seems to be the only one via CTM that only makes you wait 4 weeks; the others all seem to be in the order of months now.

      • Good idea to cross check. now just need to remember not to give any real contact details to CTM lol

      • Ah wow yes sneaky - they now give you up to 6 or 10 weeks free etc, over 12-24 months. of course. to stop people jumping ship. Bugger that. I think I'll cancel my PHI altogether. The one time I did need PHI when I had it, there were so many 'gotcha' exclusions. The fact they make record profits for shareholders tells you all you need to know I guess.

Great deal but unfortunately CTM didn’t have any gold covers.

Thanks, stacked with NIB offer. TCB beats competitors by 1%, so an extra $3 coming my way I guess

  • If my last TCB health insurance cash back is at Confirmed, can I safely churn?
