So you need a $90 shop split into 30. Do they even allow you to split amounts that many times in one shop?? Or you're supposed to check out one item at a time? lol….
My Mrs has received the offer and was wondering which one of the Colesworth POS involves fewer pressing of "Yes"/"Confirm"?
She has got to get these 30 transactions plus the monthly ING 5 transactions (for both of us), meaning a grand total of 40 transactions…
I'm now thinking an app or script to do this, for online shopping might be the "optimum" way.
Something to fill in payment pages, using X card, for $Y each time…
(I don't have any such thing, but my guess is it would be possible)
@AdModnar: Sounds interesting, have been doing online shopping/booking etc for the last x years, just can't think of a merchant where they would allow payment to be split over different transactions…
@hubs1982: hmmm, yes, now I think about it, the 'split' payments in online shopping that I remember have used multiple gift cards, perhaps store credit, and then remainder with some other method.
So at the physical store seems to be the way for this.
@hubs1982: Afterpay has been my saviour (and my sibling's and mothers as I do their transactions for them). I don't use it for anything except one transaction every once in a while, and then can just make payments of minimum $0.01 towards the outstanding amount.
I don't support afterpay and their target demographic, but I am all for using it against them

Will keep that in mind so that we are spending less time at the supermarket checkouts.
Just did it today but my recall is imperfect.
I think to pay $3 at woolworths you can just press 3, but at coles you need to press 300.
However to pay 1c at woolworths you have to press .01 while you can just press 1 at coles.
I think navigating to split payments is the same number of presses at both

literally needs one transaction each day for the month, no gaps… if you're not doing it the dodgy way of multiple splits at the counter. so basically designed only for OzBs only

Would purchasing 30 gift cards work?
You'll be making life harder for yourself handling 30 GC. Just so split payment method.
You can buy and merge 30 Amazon gift cards pretty easily online. The only way I can think to do 30 split payments online would be through Zip or potentially Afterpay, but are they going to honor that.
Mine's only $30 cashback. Biggest gripe with Westpac offers is the lack of progress tracking, you're basically flying blind. 30 transactions by end of March is basically one a day, which is tough to keep on top of, unless you start doing split payments at stores that allow multiple transactions assuming multiple transactions at the same store on the same day are eligible.
Seems weird to be targeted. 30 is a pretty high/tedious requirement.

The following do not qualify as Eligible Purchases:
ATM withdrawals, cash-out only transactions, cash equivalent transactions (e.g. money orders), money transfers, gambling transactions,
payments made using gift cards,
payments made through BPAY, and PayPal transactions.
Cancelled or refunded purchases during the Offer Period are not included.
