also hope to save anyone on Prime/AppleTV from renting it for 99c.

Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

the film follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.

    I actually looked for this on Netflix last year. They have all the other John Wicks.

    Ended up watching a Korean (Eng dubbed) film called Ballerina by accident.

    Probably the best movie I saw on Netflix all of last year.

        The Korean action movie Ballerina is from 2023 vs the John Wick Ballerina of 2025.

        To my knowledge, the Korean Netflix movie Ballerina was released in October 2023. The John Wick series inspired it.
        But the American Ballerina was released in June 2025.

          if you are going to nitpick, the Korean film is also full of Koreans. The American version is full of Americans.

          I knew from the opening scene it wasn't the right movie, but it was a fantastic opening scene and I couldn't stop watching it.

    Fight choreography is terrible compared to John Wick. Switched off after about 30 mins.

      I did pretty much the same. Then I was forced to watch it because some friends put it on and it slowly started to grow on me. So much so that I bought the 4K. Now I love it.

      Only the first third of the movie had terrible choreography, as the film had switched directors during production.

      It gets much better after that.

    Awful awful writing. Of all the things they could have done (whole universe) they just went with "less interesting Lady Wick wants revenge because sure why not". Obviously nobody wants foie gras from a John Wick film, but far out was this intelligence-insulting.

      But yes, hollywood milking franchises to death is why the Korean film industry is doing well.

    It's a John Wick Universe movie. Expect nothing more, and you may/should enjoy it.

    Saw this at the cinema and felt very Netflix-like. Probably the way it was shot or the writing, just didn’t have a cinema feel.

      try searching for it. sometimes they keep the buy/rent page, and have a separate option for Watch with Prime.

      I see it showing in 1st place in the big banner area in the Movies section.
