You can get an amazing stacked deal on the Apple AirPods 4 by combining the current Costco 20% off DoorDash Gift Card deal with a $20 DoorDash promo! Also works for Airpods 4 ANC I think.

  1. Get the 20% Off DoorDash Gift Cards
Go to Costco online and buy $100 DoorDash Digital Gift Cards for $79.99 each. Limit of 3 per account per day.
Load the credits into your DoorDash account.

  2. Order the AirPods via DoorDash
    Open DoorDash and find Costco.
Add the Apple AirPods 4th Gen. Base price is $180.29.
The $20 discount should apply automatically at checkout (Promo for your first Costco order on DoorDash).
    Checkout using your DoorDash credits!

The Math (If you live close to a Costco):

Subtotal: $180.29

Delivery Fee: $0.00 (Assuming you have DashPass or a free delivery promo)

Service Fee: ~$5.41 (YMMV)

Discount: -$20.00

Total order value on DoorDash: ~$165.70

(Note: I was charged an extra $9.99 long-distance fee, so your final DoorDash checkout price will depend on your distance from the store).

Since you are paying for the ~$165.70 balance using the 20% off gift cards from Step 1, your actual out-of-pocket cost drops to around ~$132.50!

Absolute steal for the AirPods 4!

Update: Thanks to the commenters for pointing out that this stack also works for the AirPods 4 with ANC.
Applying the same logic ($20 off promo + 20% off discounted DoorDash Gift Cards), the effective out-of-pocket price for the ANC version drops to around ~$190!
For the long-distance fee, just use a drop-off address closer to the store and meet the driver halfway (I coud bike to my drop-off point to save $10 but im too lazy to do that so i didnt avoid it lol). That's why fees are YMMV in my math above!

The title price should NOT include gift card discount. Mention these additional savings in the deal description only.

    $178 at officeworks.

all that work to save $12.30 but you get them delivered. (for a fee?)

costco warranty better than officeworks warranty?

    • +2

Yes Costco warranty is definitely better.

    • +21

All that work? Wait till you see the guy who does split payments at coles to save 1 cent

      • +2

Same guy will go and buy skins for their gaming characters though. Those type of people always have a flaw.

        • +1

What type of people don't have flaws?

    • +1

If you maintain a costco membership, the warranty is significantly better. Costco is well known for their policy in bringing stuff back after the manufacturers warranty is over.

      • Not anymore, my parents had a Tosca luggage set and Costco refuse to do anything other than tell my parents to send the bags to the manufacturer for warranty.

        • If it's still under warranty, I think Costco wants you to do that. It might also be product dependent, but who knows.

          • @bk1973: If it's still under warranty, Costco should be dealing with it as the retailer anyway. The point is their lenient returns policy isn't as lenient as it used to be.

    • +1

actually u only need to spend 132 in costco. not $165.

      • +1

at $132 yes 100% worth doing.

    • yes, you can return them even open/used - no questions asked - their T&C do not specifiy a time limit for change of mind.

      • They have introduced timelimit for change of mind some time ago

        • You are correct, having a look at it - does mention certain goods though: (headphones not included). In any case 3 months to try before you keep is good enough as well as product warranty. Apple products carry apple care so you can always take them back to apple.

Certain Electronic goods (purchased on or after [August 31st 2020])
For electronic goods, Costco Wholesale’s return policy for change of mind only applies for 90 days from the date the member receives the following goods: televisions, projectors, major household appliances (including refrigerators, freezers, rangehoods, cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), computers, touchscreen tablets, smart watches, cameras, aerial cameras (including drones) security cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, cellular phones and portable air conditioners.

$169 via Hub by Triforce - potentially can price beat

This is the kind of deal I'm here for. Don't need it, as I already have the Pros. But considering getting one as a gift.. Great first post @xhdx!

    • thanks! glad to hear that XD

  • Nice one

  • +3

Some good OzB legwork finding this. I also see the AirPods 4 with ANC listed too. Doesn't have the AirPods Pro 2 or 3 though (the 2's are on sale at Costco now for 290).

  • +1

Wow, this is a good hack: Airpod 4 ANC goes down to 190$

    • Surely your out of pocket is 240$ if you don't count 40$ balance in your DoorDash after all this.

  • +2

plus one for describing AirPods 4 as newly released.
    No sarcasm, genuine applaud.
I am an old guy who cannot follow neither understand new device release evrey year.

    • thanks for fixing! i didnt even notice it has already been 2 years since it got released.

  • free delivery but ~$10 service fee

also error when trying to link my costco membership ID to Doordash

    • +1

Try adjusting your name on Doordash

    • The service fee is unavoidable, sadly.

  • +1

I'm not seeing the $20 first order with Costco discount coming up - is this happening to anyone else?

    • Yeah I think they work for any new account in DoorDash. Maybe try to use a new phone number when signing up

    • +1

      me neither…

  • +5

I just got mine at Officeworks, the savings of $20 was not worth the extra work.

  • sadly they dont have the Airpod pro 2 which I'm after.

  • +1

    Great post, great price
