Boost Mobile: $7 Cashback on 75GB 28-Day Prepaid SIM for $12 (Was $39) @ TopCashback AU

820

Cheapest Boost 28-Day SIM for $5 (after cashback).

  • 5G with International calls.
  • Boost has reduced the price from $39 to $12 & increased data to 75GB for the 25GB 28-day prepaid SIM.

My Notes:

  • Please note that letting the number expire and NOT recharging is eligible for cashback.
  • Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.
  • Terms and conditions are from Telstra/Boost and apply to all cashback providers. Confirmed with the rep tightarse here, here and here.
  • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.
  • If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider (e.g. $2 Telstra SIM) and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Boost website (NOT Boost app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories, $2 SIMs.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Sorry to hear. I had been asking TA for a 28-day Boost SIM deal since the last offer ended. I don't know when this offer was up but saw it this morning. TA didn't inform me that there was an upsize.

      • All good. Will get some more

      • When is the cashback deal on Topcashback valid upto ? Couldn't find anywhere mentioned. Thx

        • +1

Offer expires on 23rd March 2026 11:59pm AEDT (unless Boost changes or cancels it early which is outside TCB's control). I checked with the rep TA.

Any recent anecdotes about whether porting away will decline your cashback?

  • +1

Is no port out until cash back approved still enforced?

  • Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.

So have to stay with them and pay $39 for the next 2-4 months?

    • +2

No, just buy and activate within 30 days of purchase.

      You missed the first line:

Please note that letting the number expire and NOT recharging is eligible for cashback.

      • +3

obviously this is a disposable number for those who require additional data

        • -1

Can use it as a burner phone for services you’d rather not attach your name to…

  • +4

Both sims tracked fast, nice… Thanks OP.
    Something Didn't Went Wrong

  • @ozilicious $5 now.

      Legend, thank you @trixieb!

  • It says esim not eiligible, but can this physical sim be converted to one after purchase? Want to try installing on a watch

    • +1

I've written in the post description in bold. Please read the post including the tracking tips if you're not familiar.

      • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.
  • I’ve always been a postpaid user but have recently switched my number to Voda prepaid. How do I go about porting my number to Boost and using this deal?

    • +4

This offer is better suited for a spare number rather than your main number due to the T&Cs from Telstra/Boost. If you transfer your main number to Boost, you may not get cashback if you port out before cashback is confirmed or paid as per T&Cs.

      In the post description:

      • Please note that letting the number expire and NOT recharging is eligible for cashback.
      • Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.

If cashback is confirmed before 30 days (before SIM expires), then you may be able to port out. Sometimes cashback is confirmed after 30 days which means you are obliged to stay with Boost for the cashback.

For a spare number, you don't have to recharge. For your main number to keep using, you may have to recharge with Boost for $39 until cashback is confirmed.

Here are the steps for transfer of an existing number:

      • Buy the physical Boost SIM from Boost via TopCashback.
      • Wait for the SIM to arrive.
      • Activate the Boost SIM within 30 days of purchase for cashback or sooner if your Voda prepaid is on the last day of expiry.
      • You can activate online, Boost Chat Now or call Boost. You would inform Boost that you are keeping your existing mobile number. Boost will do an ID check.
      • Choose ‘Keep existing number’ when you get to the ‘Your SIM details’ page.
      • Insert the Boost SIM in your phone. When it works, you have ported into Boost.
      • The porting time frame varies and is usually in less than an hour. Delays have happened but they are rare.

      Please refer to:

      • After the initial 28-day period, I don’t plan to recharge for at least 2 months as I’ll be overseas by then. My plan is to port out my number to another provider when I’m back in Oz. How long does cashback usually take to get approved? Even if it doesn’t get approved in time before I have to port out, I still think $12 is not bad.

What do you guys do at the end of the month?
This seems like a lot of admin work for just a month.
The amaysim $109 for 6 months is about $18 per month, so makes that an attractive set and forget.

    • I use for a spare number and this offer is better for a spare number.

I prefer the Telstra network to Optus (amaysim). Telstra has better coverage in my locations.

Please note that letting the number expire and NOT recharging is eligible for cashback.

      • A spare number for spam is a good idea! Especially for ozbargain offers. I'll never answer any calls on it.

    • +3

Use as a second sim just for data. And use the new number to sign up to everything that needs a unique phone number on signup…

      • -1

        That's a good idea indeed.
But after a month of data, what's happens? You find another provider?

    • +1

Main number is currently on a on a Telstra Casual 6 months plan ($39 regular, discounted SIM $13), with >100 SMS and >100 min calls. I basically use it only for incoming calls and outgoing for people who don't pick up with unknown numbers, plus SMS, which is rare these days with most people using messenger apps.

Data and most calls, especially international, comes from the second SIM on one of these Boost SIMs, swapped out every 28 days. $104 a year for 2xTelstra and 13*Boost.

With unlimited calls to all destinations I care about (especially international), and much more data than I can ever use, and the best network coverage in rural areas. Not bad for less than $9/ month. I don't mind the 5 minutes tops it takes in total every 28 days for ordering a new SIM and to swap SIMs.

      • I'm also looking for a sim that I can put into my navigation phone in the car. I have an old Samsung S10e that I use for navigation and Android auto.
I currently hotspot from my phone.
It'll be nice if it has its own data, minimal, so that it saves me the hassle of remembering to turn on the hotspot. I have automations atm, but they're not 100% reliable for the trigger.

Got the "Something went wrong" message multiple times on computer and phone. Changed payment method to Zip single use card and it when through. All other details were the same. Hope that helps out others.

  • +1

When you are unable to pay due to "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" message or similar, please try the following suggestions:

There seem to be more success with using a debit card and typing your address manually.

    • Use a debit card (instead of credit card).
    • Use a different email.
    • Type your address manually.
      (i) Type any address and choose "I can't find my address" as shown here.
(ii) Add your address manually in the "Address" section shown here. It's below "Delivery address".
(iii) Vary a little e.g. St instead of Street, Ave instead of Avenue etc.
    • Vary your name e.g. Pete instead of Peter, Bob, Rob instead of Robert etc.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback to the Boost website again.

    All the best.

Will there be any 12-month Boost SIM deals, in the next couple of weeks?

I need a couple of them.

  • +2

oh my god finally a decent boost deal

    • Yeah I think Telstra want to kill Boost off if they can. It's gotten bloody expensive for us low data users.

  • If I got a boost SIM from the last cashback sale and ordered a new one and a new number (leaving the old as is- not cancelling or porting) would I be able to get another phone number and be eligable for cashback on both still?

    • +1

Yes, cashback is eligible with a new Boost number.

  • Great deal. How quick is the delivery

    • +1

      about 1 week to Perth

  • Mine didn't track, it's been a few days and I received the SIM. Boost doesn't show up in my earnings list. Have used TCB successfully for over 2 years on multiple transactions, but never Boost. Is there a way to refund my order and again?

    • Boost is one of the retailers that usually tracks and quite quickly too. Not sure if you can get a refund but please contact Boost here.

If Boost cannot provide a refund, then submit a missing cashback claim.
