First two movies were gold tier, the third was alright but a step down.

    • Are the first 2 free somewhere? I feel like a little nostalgia.

I had a quick look, as far as I could tell they're stuck on Paramount Plus.

If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.

Unfortunately last year's NG4 legacy sequel with Liam Neeson was a huge disappointment, containing very little of Frank Drebin's virile essence.

I found Fackham Hall to be closer to the spirit of NG and it certainly amused me more.

  • Free on Paramount+ for those who are already paying and don't want ads

Comedy doesn't age well a lot of the times but when I rewatched the old naked guns, they still felt fresh

  • The original Naked Gun Trilogy was great. Never did watch the 2025 reboot with Liam Neeson.

its actually pretty good, its got the slap stick and visual jokes the first 3 have and some great lines from all. i was a little hesitant to watch it thinking it will ruin the memory of the first 3 but it adds to it.

      • It was a huge disappointment for me, almost totally failing to capture any vibe of the original NG movies. I had hopes after seeing the trailer (and liking much of Seth MacFarlane's work), but it felt like the few best bits were in the trailer and there was very little of value left in the rest of the movie.

If the whole movie had been like what was in the trailer it could have been very good. But, as is, I can barely remember anything about the jokes or the plot.

I found Fackham Hall (co-written by Jimmy Carr) to be much closer to the spirit of the original NG in its verbal and physical humour. And while Fackham Hall isn't necessarily a top notch movie, it amused me much, much more than the NG legacy sequel, and I can still remember quite a bit about it.
