Decent price but that motherboard seems very basic for the rest of the build.

Seems really good value for money

  • How does this compare to this PC for $1100 less?

Depends on what you deem most important I guess.
The big difference, which naturally results in the big price difference, is the GPU.
Outside of that, GalaPower give you a slightly better CPU and higher-tier motherboard, CentreCom give you a legit Windows… the rest is about the same or similar.

If your use case demands the advantages an nVidia card gives you AND your wallet allows for it, then Gala gives you a stronger PC.
Price/performance is much better on the AMD GPU, as the gaming benchmark consensus puts its gaming performance as quite comparable to 5080 (game-dependent).
Exception is for when you game in 4K and you like to max out on every quality setting, then the general consensus seems to be that the 5080 is the better choice.
Outside of gaming, video editing and anything AI/ML-related will always work better on the nVidia card.

Thanks for that info, I like gaming on my 4K oled so I’ve gone with the gala power. Appreciate your help

  • Is this deal still available? The deal page doesn't load in now

    • Not sure actually, they must have taken it off their page 😔.
