          We have a7v

          For $4,600
          Did you buy one?

          • @FlyerOne: Fantastic camera…but tough to swallow the price for sure.

Grey import FYI, can't compare price to local stock.

Mine stock arrived black .. Do recommend

Anyone recommend me some Lightroom presets

      • I think it's worth putting the words Grey Import in the title Zoza - it's not to do with the colour. What it means according to Google "A grey import (or parallel import) is a genuine, legal product imported into a country through unofficial channels, bypassing the manufacturer's authorised distribution network. Often, these goods are sourced from cheaper overseas markets, meaning they may lack local warranty coverage, feature different specifications, or not comply with local standards"

Many people won't purchase a grey import - so worth putting it up there in brackets I'd say.

$2699 from Sony (after cashback) and bonus battery.
Grab a 28-70 kit lens for about $300 and you have a fully local stock kit for $3000.
Save even more by using TopCashback 3% at Sony.

Should not be pairing a 28-70 kit lens with the A7IV imo.
The better combo would be to get the A7IV and get Sony to pricematch the 28-60 kit lens from DCW for $347.65.

Buy at the Sony store online, you also get a bonus battery AND $120 discount, use code: PAYPALFRENZY at checkout. That's worth $250.

  • I misread and thought it's the 24-70 f2.8 GM …

    • Take my money!

  • I have the lens purchased used for hiking and not worrying about it and it is not very good.

The biggest weakness in my opinion is the distortion (see https://opticallimits.com/sony/sony-fe-28-70mm-f-3-5-5-6-oss… but if you are taking landscapes it is pretty bad and I feel Sony could of done so much better there) and the in camera correction can help but the resolution also suffers.

At the time of release it was okay for a budget variable aperture lens but on a more modern mirrorless sensor the flaws will only disappoint the photographer.

    • What lens would you opt for that camera?

      • Tamron 28-75 or Sigma 28-70 Contemporary (if weather sealing is not needed)

        • Sony 20-70 f4 is an excellent value lens.

Nice focal length too and solid all round lens (light too).

Often you shoot at f4 or higher anyways. Pair it with a prime if you really need low light performance.

  • This or A7C II ? Considering free battery, $200 cashback and $120 off with the discount code..

    • +1

if you shoot photo mainly, A7C II
