  • Which is better, cashback or visa card, in terms of actually getting the bonus in your hand.

    • +2

I've never had an issue getting the gift cards. I went the cash back deal from a few days ago. So we shall see.

    • +1

Whichever is higher IMO, but worth noting that these Visa cards needs to be activeated within a certain timeframe after receiving them, and also the expiring date is short as well

      • +3

Yeah I’ve just started paying my electricity bill straight away with these cards. Easy way to use them all up and have no spare cash on them

      • Not hard finding ways to use them. Goes quickly with petrol or bills.

  • +1

For Energy- This offer is available to new customers only. Existing customers of AGL, ActewAGL, ENGIE and EnergyAustralia are also eligible, provided they meet all other offer requirements. A ‘new customer’ is a customer who has not been with the same retailer in the past 12 months.

  • +7

Has anyone got the gift cards from the November deal? I believe it was around the 18, 19/11

    • +1

      Should be next week

    • +1

      Still waiting on mine.

    • +2

still waiting from black friday iirc 18 November 2025

    • +1

      Still waiting

      • Received today too

    • +1

Just reminded me to call them.

    • +1

Still waiting on mine as well

    • +1

They advised me that the cards would be delivered between 1-15 March.

      • +1

        Same here, I’m still waiting…
Anyone know if they are emailed or texted?

        • +2

emailed, and then a reminder text 1 or 2 days later.

    • +2

Still waiting, am at 94 days at the moment.

    • +2

      Also waiting

    • +3

Just received the $125 card for gas via email. No sign of the $200 electricity yet..

      • +1

Just checked. I got the $125 also. Sometimes they come a few hours apart.

    • +1

I got one of them today

      • +2

Same just received $125 and $200, time to switch out the daily connection charge for electricity was like $1.5 per day

        • Same the $200 has come in through for me too.

        • +2

You don't have to stick with the providers until you get the cards, only for the stated required period (plus a few days to be safe).

I just got my card today but I switched away from overpriced engie nearly 2 months back

  • Which retailer? I went to econnex and could not find it. How much cheaper compared with my current dealer, AGL?

    • You have to add in your details so see which retailers are available. If you have solar and generate a big amount have a look at the FIT amounts. Got caught out with this last time and my energy bills end up being higher making the gift cards not so attractive.

  • Nice, This is the best so far for me since Nov 25, which was 250+150. I was not eligible for the powershop one in Feb, 175 + 100.

  • +2

Can some clarify what this mean, seems a bit confusing.

"For Energy- This offer is available to new customers only. Existing customers of AGL, ActewAGL, ENGIE and EnergyAustralia are also eligible, provided they meet all other offer requirements. A ‘new customer’ is a customer who has not been with the same retailer in the past 12 months."

Why is there a separate callout for AGL and a few other providers?

  • Anyone her received their November 2025 gift card yet ?

    • -1

      F

    • +2

Depending on the exact date when you connected, it should arrive between 5 - 11 days time from now

    • Nope. Still waiting

      • Same here. From my previous experience dealing with them, i have to email them and enquire about the gift card. Doesn't seem to come through automatically

    • +2

I got one of them today

  • Am I still eligible for this if I don’t have an electricity plan to begin with? I.e. not switching from another provider

  • How to cancel signup with topcashback deal and signup nbn with this deal instead ? Do I need to contact econnex ? Activation is scheduled for tomorrow.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/950042

    • +1

I'd contact whichever NBN provider you signed up with to cancel tomorrow's activation first and once that's done sign up via Econnex.

  • Jumped on and signed up with Superloop. During the process the earliest sign up date was listed as Mon 9 March?! Was hoping it could be done today or tomorrow at the latest, have an existing FTTN connection and previous switches were in the matter of hours not days.

Is that how long it generally takes via Econnex and is there a way to request a quicker churn?

    • Did you select the ASAP option? If I try to schedule a connection, my earliest connection date is 10 March.

      • I did indeed. Received confirmation email from econnex, but nothing from superloop and card not charged yet. Might give econnex a call after lunch when work gets quieter.

        • +2

I wouldn't worry to much. I signed up to Superloop via econnex multiple times with scheduled activation dates:
          - Signed up via Econnex 2025-12-15 2:30PM, confirmation and invoice from Superloop 2025-12-15 7:42PM
          - Signed up via Econnex 2025-05-29 6:28PM, confirmation and invoice from Superloop 2025-05-29 9:16PM

These were scheduled activation dates for a few days later, but I assume if you selected ASAP, you will be churned as soon as you're confirmed.

    • +1

I actually did this last week but through Topcashback and mine is HFC. I scheduled a future date connection, but they connected me anyway 23 hrs later lol. Superloop then sent me a welcome email and an invoice for mid of this month. They didn’t charge my card yet.

  • I was an Engie customer up until July 2025. If I get into an Engie plan now, would I be not eligible as a new customer?

    • New email seemed to have worked for me the last 3 times lol

You could use a $1 Boost SIM if you were worried.

      • Same name & mobile number, but different email worked for you previously?

  • +1

Edit: no, as there's nowhere to put the pin.

Will this stack with the targeted NRMA rates for superloop signups?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/949215

  • +1

Powershop has a $200 sign up credit offer for electricity and gas. Stacked with Econnex that's $450 back, not bad.

    • Nice find but i couldn't find that powershop sign up bonus through Econnex. Seems to be only through plans offered through powershop's own website.

      • +1

My bad. I didn't remember the process was happening fully on the Econnex website. I thought you selected your plan and then finalised on the provider's website.

    • FYI, it doesn't stack. I switched to Powershop via econnex last December. And I didn't get the $200 credit.
Powershop know I signed up via econnex for "the lowest rate" and I'm not eligible for the credit.

  • BEAWARE - They will stop responding to emails and in fact denied that your conditions are met. I have been emailing them since long. @nocure

    • I've had one being 'reviewed' by their support now for weeks, claiming I signed up during a time when no promo was running (despite following a link from here)
If I follow up asking for an update they just say still reviewing.
Great when the sign up works and the gc turns up, but when they don't there seems to be zero chance of getting it via customer support.

      • +1

        so true! @SBOB

  • +2

can we still use this link to signup? https://www.econnex.com.au/energy/blogs/top-energy-plans

    • Would love to know too, just gotta battery and keen to sign up to Ovo plan next week once my meter is reconfigured

  • +1

Cancelling my NRMA account so that I can double dip on Engie's $325 sign up bonuses ($125 electricity + $200 gas) for non-NRMA members who will then get… a free NRMA account. Had to call them to cancel and they tried to just set it to non-renew, I just told them I was cleaning up all my old accounts and wanted it cancelled immediately please.

    • Have you able to cancel straight away?

      • +1

NRMA let me cancel straight away, yeah, and I've left it a day to make sure it's gone. I have just checked that I can still sign in but I no longer seem to have My NRMA Rewards. Unclear whether or not it will pay out, terms and conditions are like this. I think I'll try it anyway, different email address and different physical address to my NRMA details, same phone though.

    • Where is this offer, I can't see anything about the free NRMA.

      • It's likely location dependent. I'm in VIC 3068, the offer shows for me both searching directly on Engie's site and through Econnex.

    • +1

Would like to know more detail as well. I signed up NRMA in Sept with econnex and my credit has just run out. That was an absolute ripper deal.

  • -1

I just used Econnex to moved to Power a few day ago, is it ok to move back to this? is it possible?

  • I saw Econnex on TCB, the T&Cs doesn't mention having to be new customer?

  • For those who signed up on Nov BF deal, we are eligible for this right? Eventhough still waiting for the gift card which should arrive next week

  • +2

As someone posted in a previous thread, this is still a better offer https://www.econnex.com.au/energy/blogs/top-energy-plans $200 gift card for electricity and only have to stay 30 days.

  • I m already with superloop

  • +1

      • In this instance, yes.
