Needed a new trimmer after my last one died by what I suspect is suicide, this one a great price vs other options.

More likely it saw the bill

who's Bill?

Try one of these japan only but superior product for only sligthly more. Have both.

Hi,
What do you find superior about it?
Better build quality, this model feels very cheap by comparison. Also nicer to use, less winching from ripped nose hairs.

Thanks.
White one is now out of stock but I got the black one.

Thats an older model, the one in this deal is the replacement newer model.
They both use the same head.

I came here to see whether this model was approved by Jordan Schlansky. In Jordan's words, the ER-GN30 comes from a country "that is arguably known for some lower quality production methods". Will stick with my Japanese made ER-GN11.

Thanks OP. Bought one; for this price, didn't really bother checking reviews.

you truly an OzB :)

I have the Panasonic ER-GN50. I've had this I believe for more than 10 years. It just doesn't die. Just make sure to have good rechargable batteries.

I've used a similarly designed one from Phillips, which is good but this one is better.

Upvoted for the tasteful reference

This can shape eyebrows effectively too

I can see this supposedly works on moustachioed people. Would this be just as effective as a dermaplaning scalpel?

Just rip them out with fingers or tweezers like a normal person.

Or use chewing gum 😜

Oh look it's the nose police.

You could use pliers too. Get a whole bunch of hairs at once.

I had this but replaced with "ConairMan The Xpert Precision" which is by far and away the best nose and ear hair trimmer I've ever had. Not a single nose hair pull. Here's one from Google search ($24):

$15.95 at Priceline ATM

That's actually a different model: more plasticky, no top cover: still same trimming mechanism, though (my father has that one)

what's better about it than the panasonic?

I find the Panasonic would pull hairs at times, whereas the Conair has never done that - even when the battery was nearly flat.
I use a lithium AA with the Conair and it lasts a very long time - YMMV, of course

Great recommendation, just bought one this afternoon and it's so much better than my old Phillips norelco 3000

I have the $10 one from ALDI, and has been working fine with no issues over the last ~2 years. Not sure what benefit I'd see by spending ~2.5x more by getting this or the Panasonic model linked above.

Possibly because it's the James Bond "Goldmember" model…
If you are willing to spend more for an amazing trimmer with a vacuum system, check out: Panasonic Ear and Nose Hair Trimmer for Men with Vacuum Cleaning System ER-GN70-K.
It's the best trimmer I ever had. It cuts close like a razor and vacuums up all the trimmed hairs in your nose/ears. Minimal mess compared to normal trimmers that leave your nose full of fine hair salad. I got mine on Amazon JP. Pricey, but so worth it. Buy once cry once.

what makes it vacuum is it just the blade cutting the hairs down into a chute?

There is a tiny vacuum cleaner below the blade.

Suck good? lol

This is 4x the price of the deal OP shared though =\

Been using the older version of this for about 15 years now with no problem of pulling hair and still going strong.

Thanks OP about time to replace years old one.

Phllips multigroom set comes with a nose trimming attachment

Don't know why you would ever buy a product like this when you can just get attachments for trimmers/shavers

Just get some tweezers. It only hurts the first couple of times and the results are better and last longer

An aging audience?

Love the tiny lipstick size so discreet no one would know you have a nose hair problem.

I have this model for a year now. I think I bought it for a similar price. Noting exceptional about it. I only use it for ear hair trimming but I find that it does an ok job.
The reason I got this was my previous ear trimmer will only from the sides only but with this one you can point towards the hair and it will cut it due to the way the blade is design
I don’t have a lot of experience but it’s a average for me in getting to the outcome

I have this trimmer and supercharged it by using a 4.2V 14500 lithium battery instead of a 1.2V alkaline.
You'd think it'd blow up, but it's been running this way for years, and makes short work of cutting without pulling on the hairs.

Would cross my mind too if I keep getting pushed into dark, hairy, and claustrophobic situations.
