That is crazy cheap yet their direct flights to Guangzhou are over $1k.

Take a bullet train from Beijing to Guangzhou and pocket the savings

Get in quick before all the price updates to reflect higher oil prices.

  • Is september not included? I tried finding flights then and its twice the price!

    • School break?

Yeah i moved the days around a bit and found cheap flights. Got all the way through booking put in card details and all passenger details and the return flights no longer available and next closest is an extra $600 per person return. I hope they open up more flights

This or one way price on Qantas from Brisbane to Melbourne at times !!

Nice shoulder season to avoid the heat humidity before winter sets in.

wow cheaper than flying to Perth

    • When you put it like that… wow…

A hour flight to Sydney is cost more than this ~

Thank you so much. I have just booked for later this year for dates that suited well, at a very competitive $400 including credit card fee!

  • These flights are cheap because they have 18+ hr layovers.

    • To see if it's worth it, note the price of the cheapest other flight to Beijing and your hourly wage. Chances are you would save more money doing a layover compared to making money burger flipping (per hour comparison).

Some do, some don't. I also love a layover in Guangzhou - easy and cheap taxi ride into town, book a day hotel for a nap for a few hours, and then go out for some shopping at the world's biggest and cheapest markets.

These prices appear to be only through a third party? Trying to book the exact same route direct with the airline is more than double the price. Something not adding up.

    • +1

I could be wrong but third parties could snipe prices at an even lower price and upsell?

  • Just flew China Southern to Guangzhou on one of these cheap economy flights.
Experience was a solid 4 out of 5.
Flight attendants were quite nice for Chinese service.
    Leg room is standard.
Seats were clean and pretty much what you'd expect.
    Food was ok.
1 USB A port under the screen.
Entertainment was rather lacking for English language, mostly family movies, but I brought my own entertainment.

I'd highly recommend at this price.

Just a heads‑up, I went all the way to the last step on MyTrip and tried to pay through PayPal. Right at the end they suddenly jacked the price up to over $3k, saying it increased due to “high demand”, so I didn’t continue. But PayPal still put a $1500 pending hold on my account. I can’t dispute it yet because it’s still pending, so hopefully it drops off soon.

Same, tried 4 different trafvel dates on 2 different browsers. Either get error with payment or the price goes from $378 to $1132 during checkout every time.

Has anyone actually managed to get flights at this price?

Happening to me as well… frustrating

    • For MyTrip I had similar errors with payment until I used their IOS App instead, worked perfectly with their app.

  • Need these from Melbourne

  • No luck here. Prices slightly go up per ticket when adding extra passengers. When checking out the payment process failed 99% of the time. The other time it said that prices have been adjusted due to availability and basically doubled in price.

  • Just an update, anything that seems to be inline with these cheap fares will just fail. Gotogate, mytrip, flightnetwork are all the same company offering similar rates. You will get a payment processing failed notification, or the price adjusts to a significantly higher cost.

    The prices are simply unobtainable.

Booking.com also offers these prices slightly higher but will either not process, or take your funds and still have a booking failure, to later refund it. I imagine it would just be sourcing it through the above websites.

Ive had my funds deducted by Booking.com twice. I was trying to get one over the websites but im going to have to admit defeat here
