  • Hey ozbargainers, my adhd likes how this looks - is it loud or not very nice to use?

    • "Five Sound-Dampening Layer — With five layers of internal padding, including 2 layers of thick sound-absorbing foams…"

      • +1

It is still loud clicking switches, there is silent switch option.

But honestly if noise is that big a deal, dont get mechanical, get membrane keyboard.

        • +3

I would suggest getting the right mechanical keyboard! you can get fairly silent ones and still have a nice typing experience.
Or even get something that does have sound but sounds good, like a Wobkey etc.

I did have this RK KB for about 10min before sending it back, didn't like the layout, came from a RK 60% which i did love.

  • +3

The 40% is only off some combinations.

For the others, it's cheaper to get it directly from https://rkgamingstore.com/products/l75-75-wireless-mechanica… with 25% off code WDAY25

  • only 22% now for me

    • Depend on the model you select the lime on and the weird tanny brown are 40% off.

  • Is there a story behind its hilarious name?

  • +1

So supposedly RK quality isn't the best. But they seem to be the only few brands who ship with tactile switch options, apart from maybe Keychron. Anyone know of other boards with stock tactiles?

    • +1

Unless I've misunderstood the question, most mechanical keyboard manufacturers have products with blue or brown (or equivalent) keyswitches

      • +1

I should have said excluding the big players like Logitech and razer etc who have their own brown equivalents. Amongst the smaller Chinese brands like Aula, Mchose etc, it was surprising their keyboards come in like 4 variants of linear switches and zero tactile options

        • Ducky does good keyboards with tactile switches.

    • Nuphy is the only other company I can think of that offer tactiles straight out of the box. But yeah Keychron is the main one.

  • wow so ugly

    • +1

      Haha yeah
"Amazing colours" .. the colours: lime green and grey, brown and olive greenish

      • Not sure why people don't want one colour keyboards. All the 'expensive' ones have this terrible two or three tone crap to them. Guess its the gamer culture RGB leaking out. Each to their own I guess.

    • I've got a white one. It looks very good when lit up with the RGB patterns.

It had a problem with the home key. The home key requires pressing the "fn" key and it ends up also typing the key that the home key is on. " on this one. ] on mine. This happens on some apps but not others.

You don't need to be a Prime member. I just bought one, got the price as described above, and I'm not a prime member.

The price was $139 on Amazon, looked like $109 in the cart, but corrected to $83.99 when I went through the checkout process.
