What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is ineligible on the following (updated 03/03/2026): iPhone 17 Pro Max; iPhone 17 Pro; iPhone 17; iPhone Air; iPhone 17e; MacBook Neo; Studio Display; Studio Display XDR; Vision Pro & Vision Pro Accessories; Developer Programs; AppleCare+; trade-ins; purchase of gift cards; gift wrapping; shipping.
  • Newly released pre-order products will always be ineligible for cashback until such time the terms are updated to reflect eligibility. Note: This offer includes all new MacBook Pro M5 & MacBook Air M5 models as per TA's comment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Apple Education Store: For eligible members based on Apple's T&Cs, after clicking the pink 'Get Cashback' button from TopCashback, navigate via the Education "Shop for University" link in Apple's footer menu before adding items to cart.
  • Apple sells & ships products to end users only; you may not purchase for resale or in bulk quantities. Cashback is subject to lifetime limits of: (a) six (6) units per model in each of the following product categories: iPhone, Mac, iPad, Watch, Vision (currently ineligible), Apple TV, and HomePod; (b) thirty-two (32) units of each of the following: AirTag 1-pack and AirTag accessories; (c) eight (8) AirTag 4-pack; and (d) ten (10) units of each of the following: AirPods and other eligible accessories. The lifetime limit applies to any purchase you make from the Apple Store website. Cashback will not be issued once you exceed the lifetime limit for a product.
  • Cashback tracks to member accounts 2-7 days after you receive confirmation from Apple that the product has been shipped.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know

  • Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards, and is also eligible on purchase of Apple refurbished products.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, the entire order will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

  • Any idea why iPads are excluded?
I was hoping to use this before the Uni deal ends on Wednesday.

    • I'm guessing it's exactly why it isn't being included. Since there's incentive for people to buy regardless? But yes I'm on the same boat as you lol.

Wonder when my deal from yesterday will track. Hopefully soon so I stop being afraid.

    • In the T&Cs and post:

Cashback tracks to member accounts 2-7 days after you receive confirmation from Apple that the product has been shipped.

      • Which isn’t until the end of the month, so quite a few weeks to see confirmation :/

      • So long as you followed the instructions, Topcashback have always been great at retrospectively honouring cashbacks with the provision of purchase details. Try not to stress!

    • Which store did you end up ordering?

  • So if navigated to the education page through any other link on the main page it doesn’t track?

    • From the rep TA regarding navigating the page and tracking:

… you first click out from Apple on TopCashback AU and don't copy/paste links. Just navigate to the education store from the main store after clicking.

  • Does anyone know whether battery replacing charges is also covered in these cashbacks? Thanks

    Once again, can we clarify:

INCLUDES all new MacBook Pro M5… models

This wording is highly ambiguous, given that M5 is now ~5 months old, and M5 Pro/M5 Max are the only "new" "M5" models, yet the terms also quite unambiguously state all newly released pre-order products (which is exactly what M5 Pro/M5 Max are) are excluded.

    @tightarse?

    • -2

Please read my comment here, in particular the summary about ignoring the ‘newly released’ paragraph as the terms have already been updated. Thank you.

    • -2

@jetblack You asked the same question yesterday.

      Apple/TCB term:

Cashback is ineligible on the following (updated 03/03/2026): iPhone 17 Pro Max; iPhone 17 Pro; iPhone 17; iPhone Air; iPhone 17e; MacBook Neo; Studio Display; Studio Display XDR; Vision Pro & Vision Pro Accessories; Developer Programs; AppleCare+; trade-ins; purchase of gift cards; gift wrapping; shipping.

In the list of cashback ineligibility (updated 03/03/2026), MacBook Pro M5 & MacBook Air M5 are NOT listed which means they are eligible for cashback.

      Apple/TCB term:

Newly released pre-order products will always be ineligible for cashback until such time the terms are updated to reflect eligibility.

Please note "until such time the terms are updated to reflect eligibility." The terms are updated that MacBook Pro M5 & MacBook Air M5 are eligible.

      tightarse's message yesterday.

Commissionable: The new MacBook Pro (M5), MacBook Air (M5) will be commissionable today, March 3, 2026.

Yes, all new MacBook Pro M5 & MacBook Air M5 models are eligible for commission (cashback).

The exclusion list dated 03/03/2026 is true & correct as it stands. For this promo, please ignore the ‘newly released’ paragraph as the terms have already been updated.

Please note "For this promo, please ignore the ‘newly released’ paragraph as the terms have already been updated."

Hence I posted the offer as INCLUDES all new MacBook Pro M5 & MacBook Air M5 models as per TA's comment. Also left the same note in the Apple/TCB term for this offer.

The reason why people are asking a follow up question is because tightarse did not respond to follow up questions asking to clarify.

There is a very important distinction on the Macbook Pro M5 models which released back in October 2025. It is the Macbook Pro M5 Pro and M5 Max that released in March 2026.

Given that almost every other product revealed in the same wave of announcements as the M5 Pro and M5 Max are ineligible, people just wanted to be very sure that the M5 Pro and M5 Max models are eligible as the wording in tightarse's comment is very ambiguous.

        • +3

The sass I got for asking for clarification is nuts.

I didn't think it was a big ask to directly answer the question 'Are M5 Pro and M5 Max considered to be included in "all macbook pro M5" models.'

They still haven't clarified beyond an implication.

missed out on the 8% yesterday, any chance it comes back before 11th Mar this Wed? :( @tightarse

  • +1

Thanks guys, does this include the AOC store?

  • I am unsure how this works.
I couldn’t see proof of anything.
I ended up using my computer and chrome and the extension.
The extension said 8% but it vanished when I processed things.
The MacBook is preorder. So Apple won’t charge me until they ship the item.
So I have no confidence this will work ??
How do I follow this up ?

    • Will ask the rep @tightarse

You can check that the click is registered. On the TopCashback website (not app), you can check your last "click" to Apple or any retailer in this link. The time updates with each new click.

To view all your clicks in the last 100 days, you will need to visit the missing cashback claims page on the TopCashback website (not app). Select Apple (or the clicked retailer) on the claims page in this link. Here is also where you submit a missing cashback claim for non-tracking.

  • Careful about validation of your uni account via Unidays.. make sure you click back on the topcashback link after verification to get your cashback otherwise the commission goes to Unidays as they apparently get the last "click" of my purchase

  • Anyone knows if buying new MacBook Air M5 qualify for the 299 credit accessories offer?

    • +1

Yes. Even the 13 inch does. Incredible value.

  • Well I order a MacBook Pro M5Pro via Apple Gift Cards on Sunday without checking ShopBack or TopCash so I cancelled the order within an Hour and was told that refunds would take up to 3 days. This morning, I rang Apple and was told they will Follow up with Senior Customer Support and got the refunds and ordered the same laptop again.

Better than nothing but thanks to Apple service for their quick actions.

  • Might be a silly question but am I able to make two separate purchases transactions and receive the EDU discount and cashback OR is this capped at one transaction?

    • For cashback, there is no cap and you can make separate orders. Please click the pink button again for each new purchase so you will get separate tracking for each order.

Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.

Sorry I'm not familiar with the EDU discount so can't comment on single or multiple transactions to get the discount.

  • Eligible if I buy third party products like Belkin adaptor? Pls?

  • +1

    edu union??

  • I’m trying to confirm if cashback promotions are still honored when I pay with an Apple Gift Card, but specifically: whether its by balance or using it at checkout.

Also - can anyone help.. whats the current maximum you can apply from a single gift card? Some posts mention a $2 000 cap, others a $4 999 limit. Is there the best way to do this if the purchase is over $6000?

And is it the same story whether Apple Education or AOC? Or different rules?

Any recent experiences or suggestions, updates would be a huge help.

    • In the post description:

Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards and account balance.

To avoid the Apple gift card limit, add the gift cards to your Apple account balance. Cashback is paid for both gift cards and account balance.

      • Thank you for replying really appreciate it. Is there a limit on how much I can add per day?

        • No one has mentioned a limit. Offer expires today at 11:59pm AEDT.

        • Please see the terms on lifetime purchase limit:

Apple sells & ships products to end users only; you may not purchase for resale or in bulk quantities.

Limits as per post and TCB Apple page.

          • @trixieb: Thanks for the reply, the limit question about how many gift cards can be added or used per day. Just considering 1-2 purchases , not for resale. :)

            • +1

@zolidfin: I'm aware but also wasn't sure if you knew about the lifetime purchase limit as you seem to be making a big purchase.

                • +1

@zolidfin: I've asked the rep TA. The 6% cashback offer (with exclusions, see post) is for Apple Education Store only as per the terms on the TCB Apple page. It's not for the Apple store or AOC. AOC isn't listed on Apple with the cashback companies.

  • Sorry I am confused, is MacBook NEO included or no?

    • Unfortunately not as per post description and title:

EXCLUDES all iPads, iPhone 17, MacBook Neo, Studio Display, Vision Pro & items listed in terms.
