Boost Mobile: $50 Cashback on $250 290GB 12-Month Prepaid SIM @ TopCashback AU

1801

Awesome deal at $200 after cashback. Cheapest Boost 12-month SIM. Offer expires on 23rd March 2026 11:30pm AEDT (unless Boost changes or cancels it early).

Also available: $5 after cashback for Boost 75GB 28-Day SIM

  • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.
  • If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider (e.g. $2 Telstra SIM) and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Boost website (not Boost app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories, $2 SIMs.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Wow nice just as I need it

    • +1

Same, thanks to OP. Was going to renew with Optus for $175 but I think it's worth a little extra for full Telstra network

      • +3

It’s full telstra PREPAID network. It’s not the same as Telstra post paid. I researched this recently. Telstra is starting to provide standalone 5g service available only for postpaid customers.
        As PSA .

    • same here! I got the same deal last year

  • +1

Damn - too soon. Wish my Vodafone SIMs were running out within 30 days.
Can't wait to move away from their "ordinary" network.

    • +2

Yeah I'm after a new plan too but can't do it until May (or mid April I suppose). Hoping something similar is available then!

      • I got sucked in badly until August through Cashrewards. Dammit it all.

    • +1

I'm on Voda network too - wow it's as unreliable as I've remembered.

    • +1

Yep! My timing worked out well and I’ve switched over the boost. So good being able to use my phone again when out at the shops etc and actually have internet instead of the crap voda offer.

  • +1

Hi OP, thanks for the deal but my annual plan isn't expiring until the 24th of April. Is there a chance you know until when will this promo runs? Cheers

    • The promo runs Until 23rd march, there will be more
Coming from boost in next 2 months .. EOFY deals.

    • My plan ends 15 April. You just need to activate before 30days of purchase. No other condition.

  • Is it also eligible for new user?

    • This offer is for anyone, new or existing customer of TopCashback and Boost. It's not for recharge for existing Boost customer but one can port out and in.

      • Can I buy two and eligible for two cash back?

        • I had replied yesterday but somehow wasn't delivered with the OzB frequent "I'm Not A Bot" verification. Replied here.

      • If I did 2 separate order for same account will I get 2 X cashback?

        • @adpaholic @hishaken

You can get cashback on purchases of 2 or more SIM cards when you order each SIM card separately in the same TopCashback account.

Please click the pink button again at TopCashback to Boost website for each SIM.

$50 cashback will track separately for each SIM purchase. For example, 2 SIM cards will be 2 X $50 cashback with its own order number.

          T&Cs:

Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.

  • Still debating between this and Everyday Mobile $320 for 300Gb plan where my shopping is most likely going to make Everyday Mobile cheaper overall.

    • +1

I thought they took away the 10% for 12month prepaid cards?

      • oh you are correct! Only 30-day SIM or plans available now.

        • Boost uses the full Telstra mobile network unlike Everyday Mobile.

          • -1

@trixieb: Full prepaid network. Not same as postpaid

    • try to get a quote for a car insurance from Woolowrths, that gives you 10% off too.

  • +1

Legend, thanks OP. $50 cashback tracked instantly.

    • +1

Same. Also my boost purchase from December last year has already been approved & cashed out.

  • Boost Mobile website has this $300 SIM FOR $250. Shopback has $35 cashback on Boost Mobile $300 plan. If you can get cashback cost come down to $215. Am I missing somthing or you won't get cashback as it's a promortional price?

    • +4

This offer with TopCashback is $200 after cashback as mentioned in the first sentence of the post. It is also in the post title "$50 Cashback on $250 290GB 12-Month Prepaid SIM".

You have to click the pink button at TopCashback to Boost website to get $50 cashback. ShopBack is a different company and the cashback is $15 less.

      • Thanks

        • TopCashBack is the better deal, but to receive the cashback,
you must activate the SIM card within 30 days of purchasing the SIM card.

    • Double dipping. Only your last click with the affiliate link will get the cash back.

      • Also if you have clicked through ShopBack first and don't clear your history or cookies etc, it may track at ShopBack for $35 cashback instead of TopCashback. This has happened when people click and check different cashback sites. It is recommended to clear your history and close all tabs etc as per the tips in the post.

      • It won’t happen, very likely both of the tracking will be rejected.

        • One of them would usually track. It's probably not possible for both to track.

  • +1

Just a note that the cashback takes some time to pay out. My last experience was 10 weeks.

    • I've used it a number of times and never had it that long. Usually within days. Wonder why it was so long for you

    • I'm waiting from my purchase in October, TCB says they're waiting for Boost, Boost says they don't know what to do.

  • +2

keep getting error when checkout. tried 3 times. so annoying.

    • +2

Please try the suggestions below. There is better success of purchasing using a debit card, Passport as ID and typing your address manually. You could try again tomorrow.

If you are unable to pay due to "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" message, please try the following suggestions:

      • Use a debit card (instead of credit card).
      • Use your Passport as ID (instead of driver's licence).
      • Use a different email.
      • Type your address manually.
        (i) Type any address and choose "I can't find my address" as shown here.
(ii) Add your address manually in the "Address" section shown here. It's below "Delivery address".
(iii) Vary a little e.g. St instead of Street, Ave instead of Avenue etc.
      • Vary your name e.g. Pete instead of Peter, Bob, Rob instead of Robert etc.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

      All the best.

      • Thanks. Works in cognito with no company name.

        • Great to hear. Hope it tracks as sometimes incognito may block tracking. TopCashback recommends to avoid Incognito Mode.

From TopCashback: How can I make sure I receive my cashback?

          Avoid Incognito Mode
Avoid private browsing to ensure accurate tracking.

          Use Recommended Browsers
If you're facing problems, switch to another browser (except Safari or Firefox), as it might solve the issue. We recommend using Google Chrome.

  • Does Boost not let you to purchase without an Australian Licence or Australian Passport? I have neither and tried to enter my foreign passport details to see if it would let me continue but it doesn’t

    • +1

Unfortunately not as it states Australian passport or Australian driver's licence. The person purchasing the SIM can be different to the person activating the SIM.

    • Even better they won't let you activate sim without email address they have listed on their end. Had provided email ID to Telstra in past (as backup email for verifications) and Boost would not let me activate sim without providing this which they were picking up from Telstra account not giving me opportunity to manually pick one.

Telstra and now boost have always used antiquated ways with their purchase and activation process and as an AU citizen I try to avoid them as much as I can. So good luck to you with overseas passport.

      • @sparxq You can activate using a non-Australian ID as mentioned here in Feb 2026. I asked the commenter.

    • I have an older relative with no drivers license or passport. I asked Boost on their chat if we could use Medicare card and they said "Yes, purchase the sim and call us to activate it with your Medicare card". I haven't tried it though.

      • I only activate Boost SIM using my Medicare card via live chat. Medicare card is one of the options for activation.

  • Can you receive sms while you are overseas, without adding any international package?

    • +2

Yes.. receiving SMS while you are overseas is possible, without intl package.
      but not sending.

      • +1

        can confirm

        • Sending sms while overseas is actually possible. Works for me when I was overseas. Note however, This will only works if you are on wifi. And you are using google messages.

  • "290GB for new activations. 240GB on next recharge. Activate between 3 March 2026 and 23 March 2026. 12 month expiry. All for use in Aus. Incl. international calls. SIM includes first recharge."

Do I have to activate before 24 March? Or will I just lose 50GB but keep everything else if I don't activate before 24 March 2026?

    • +2

For cashback, SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

To get the 50GB bonus data, activate by 23 March 2026. However 290GB seems to be an ongoing promo as per the same 290GB offers e.g. in Nov 2025, Dec 2025, Jan 2026 and Feb 2026.

You would usually get the bonus data advertised at the time of activation.

      • So if you activate after March 24 (but still within 30 days of purchase) you’ll only lose 50GB but keep the cashback?

        • +1

You may lose 50GB but as per my comment above, Boost has been offering 290GB for a while.

You would usually get the bonus data advertised at the time of activation.

          For cashback,

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase

  • +1

I live in Sydney and currently use Telstra prepaid. I noticed that on busy trains it can be a bit hard to keep things going. Would switching to Boost make this worse, or does it not matter and is it basically identical?

    • +2

I'm a long time Telstra customer and use Telstra prepaid on my main number. I've Boost prepaid on a spare phone. Boost uses the full Telstra mobile network.

I'm in Perth metro and most of the time, they are identical. Occasionally Telstra may work better than Boost. There are comments online that if there is congestion, Telstra prepaid customers may be prioritised over Boost prepaid customers.

If you switch to Boost, it won't be better. It would be identical most of the time.

      • To have 100% accuracy, you would have to use two identical phones. I use both Telstra postpaid and Boost simultaneously on two different phones. The phone with Boost sim has slightly better reception. I haven't tried to swap them and test, because I'm happy with either reception anyway.

  • Got 'confirmed' status 1 day after I activated the SIM.
    Estimated payable: 15 weeks

  • Once again only introducing deals for "new" customers. What about doing something for long-standing customers that keep the network running by paying inflated pricing each year?

    • +2

You can port out of Boost into another brand and port back in as per the post description.

      • +2

I'm not interested in doing that. I just don't see why these companies can't look after loyal customers. Same issue we have in all other service industries though hey.

        • -2

agree, idk y u get negged

          • @Horacio: I didn't neg @Morphio25 I've upvoted so neutral now.

            • @trixieb: Is this flash promo that going to expired midnight?

              • +1

@ivyholmes: It's not a flash promo as there is no "Ends in" on the TCB Boost page. This seems to run like the other TCB Boost offers. I don't know the expiry. Will check with the rep TA and update here.

              • +1

@ivyholmes: Offer expires on 23rd March 2026 11:30pm AEDT (unless Boost changes or cancels it early).

                • @trixieb: Great news. I hate optus the network is not the best

                  • @ivyholmes: I also find Telstra and Boost the best in my locations :)

            • @trixieb: Sure, didn't mean to imply you had

      • Question:

If someone is on Boost eSIM, can they port out to the Telstra $2 physical SIM ?

( If successful, they will port back to the 12-month Boost physical SIM, and then transfer to Boost eSIM, to continue with the next 12-months )

  • +1

Thanks got one as my current plan expires end of March

    • myone expired yesterday and i was looking for it. I just bought $1sim for today and tomorrow. Will request to activate this new sim on old number. They will say it's once off but then i have been doing for many years now.

  • I keep getting error. Ozbargained?

    • No, it's a random security block from Telstra/Boost. Please see the suggestions in my reply here.

      • Tried a different email, card, Passport, manual address entry…. but still not working.oh well..

        • Try again tomorrow. Offer expires on 23rd March 2026 11:30pm AEDT (unless Boost changes or cancels it early).

        • I have the same issue, tried everything not working at all

  • +1

    Still on that dreadful

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.

Thing, seems no way around this problem

    • Can you use a relative's ID to purchase? The person buying can be different to the person activating the SIM.

      Some suggestions here.

      • Tried everything sadly nothing working as per suggestions.

Don't know anyone who'd let me use their id, people would think I'm a weirdo if I ask their id for purchasing sims.

Need boost/Telstra to unblock me from their blacklist I guess.

Hopefully some good profit or 100% deal on 1 month plans which can be bought without ID

        • +1

I kept getting the error over and over again, try a different email address it worked for me same details just different email address

          • @kpc321: Your lucky. I tried everything still not working

            • @goocxx: Ok this was driving me nuts but got it to work. Tried changing to Passport instead of Licence ID, using a debit card

              Here's what worked for me:
              - added my middle name to "given names" - previously I just had my first name
              - manually entered address rather than the auto complete
              - added a business name

  • I just got my payout from end of November.

    • +1

My 28-day SIM from end of Nov was paid yesterday.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Ordered one.

  • +1

    Cheers broski, right on time.

  • This deal or Optus?

  • what happens to speed after you have reached the cap?

  • just ported from optus post;paid few days ago. its not same as telstra postpaid i think , really not good indoors and even my optis seemed better. in melbourne. i bought 12 months sim

    • It depends on your location. Boost uses the full Telstra mobile network.

A relative and I have the same phone. When we were at the same locations at the same time, occasionally my Telstra prepaid worked but his Optus postpaid didn't. This was indoors.
