Have Boost - coverage last year been woeful at best. Melbourne and Sydney metro areas. Regional was alright and expect to lose that a little but losing something for 1% usage to improve 99% is the plan. Voda shocking too.
Can I expect zero difference or worse for Optus?
Also JFYI and YMMV, but last year I first got “Don’t miss out on 25% off your next yearly plan recharge” notification from Optus, which I ignored, and then one week later they sent “Good news. Your discount has been upgraded, and your next yearly recharge before expiry is now half price. The best part is, your 50% recharge discount is ready to go when you recharge by 16/01/26 with your Prepaid Service…” which I gladly accepted.
Anyone know if signing up for prepaid plan require credit check? I have credit check ban in place, it will be a bit of trouble to remove it
There is no credit check, but to activate the new number /port , ID verification is needed.
and don’t forget outages, 000 failures and selling to people with no coverage, and of caourse a very big private data breach 😁
