[SUBS] Inside the Manosphere: Louis Theroux (2026) Documentary Streaming @ Netflix

872

new documentary on the manosphere.

tbh would have been better if it was "Inside the Female Manosphere" I think thats more interesting of a perspective. Women that align with manosphere type ideas and talk the same way to women, trying to convince them with a woman's approach.

but might be interesting anyway. I was recommended with some manosphere type content around 6 months ago, and tbh it did infect my brain with topics and phrases and ruin the ending of "Nosferatu" for me which I was really looking forward too watching.

even considering most people and the media think it's very toxic, there might be something to learn from people that think the way they do.

Synopsis

With rare access and no holds barred, the acclaimed documentarian investigates a growing ultra-masculine network and its controversial influencers.

Jesus… talk about a stream of consciousness.

How is any of the OP’s ranting related to the -ahem- “deal” here?

  • +36

Nowhere in there you thought to mention Louis Theroux?

      • +9

        😂 Are you trolling? 😁

        • -4

is he a famous journalist or something? maybe he started off good as a journalist, then made a lot of good documentaries, but eventually enshittified by all the fame like gordon ramsay etc and now making documentary's on the manosphere. 😌

  • +18

Andrew Tate wanted to be paid to be featured in this doco, was told no, then argued Louis is not as relevant as him.

    🤷‍♂️

    • +5

Google is showing that tate is still searched more than louis worldwide (source), but louis story checks out for searches in the UK (source)

not a fan of tate but data is data

      • +25

Louis has been a household name for about 20 years so my guess is people are just searching Tate more often to find out who he is

        • +28

searching Tate more often to find out who he is

Or to see if he's been arrested again, or accused or charged with rape and human trafficking again.

          • @SBOB: Or getting knocked out by a reality TV "star". Not very alpha losing.

        • I was surprised to find out Tate claims to be Muslim.

          • +4

@cashews: There’s a type of western Muslim male convert/revert. Who convert to Islam because they see it as more “manly” and “pro-male traditionalist” than christianity. They also like what they perceive is the religion’s chauvinism, putting men first and putting women second/ confining them to traditional domestic roles. They’re in no way pious and just pay lip service. And will still party, drink and do drugs. They just don’t eat pork (although, it wouldn’t surprise me if a predatory conman like Tate still does).

    • +1

Grifters gonna grift. Although, nowadays he’d jump at the chance to be in the doco, because he’s losing relevance. Todays aging Andrew Tate tries to attach himself to every currently popular teenage boy “looksmaxxer”, manosphere adjacent influencer or far-right white supremacist influencer (such as Nick Fuentes) to try and stay relevant and leech their clout.

I appreciate watching his stuff, and am thrilled he has something new. Thx for the post!

    • +10

british seem to make good documentaries.

      • +2

I like the Bonnie Blue one…

    • +3

His podcast is really good too. Talented interviewer imo

  • +6

Should get some fun downvotes on this one!

    • -4

      why? it's interesting isn't it?

well I don't want to say this is exactly what's inside the documentary, but maybe those who believe and make content on it will not be happy that their ideas are revealed and disassembled? maybe. that's the vibe I'm getting anyway. like it's a "anti" documentary.

      • +12

Because the post was incoherent. Maybe try Grammerly or some AI tool for future posts.

  • +24

This is free and it's one of his best! 8.2 on imdb

Don’t think I’ve seen that one ! Thanks for the tip.

  • +6

    Wth is a manosphere 👀

    • +22

It's a place where people who like to call other guys beta males can call each other alpha males in their own little biodome

      • Finally got round to watching it. Pretty accurate description… Surprised anyone can follow those morons and help make them rich 😂

    • +4

      He's a mon.

  • +28

Toxic shit is toxic, and we don't need a rant to reveal that.

Louis diving headfirst into toxic and dangerous shit is exactly why we love him though, so should make for an interesting watch sometime. Cheers for bringing it to my attention.

    • +4

      Yep generally enjoy Louis programs

  • +12

WTF did I just read? It provided zero information on a subject that is also a WTF.

  • +3

Is there a deal on Netflix I’m missing in this?

  • +3

what's the deal? so many of these useless posts lately.

  • +3

    Where's the bargain?

    • -5

Documentaries like this cost hundreds of thousands to make. You get it for free.

      • +18

This isn't free to anyone without a Netflix subscription, and that is not free. The deal is not about a bargain of any sort

    • +6

This is what the 'Hide' button is for…

      • -2

Downvote & report buttons would probably be a better option for this one. OPs "description" is wild.

    • +11

(profanity) me… not being a piece of shit has somehow become a political stance

    • +1

      Do you support Tate?

      • -3

Do you actually know what he says or just following what you are told from short clips or other peoples viewpoints?

        • What are these short clips? Never seen them.

  • -7

Oh yeah, cause i trust netflix or bbc to tell me anything remotely objective and unbiased about masculinity.

    • +3

Where do you get your masculinity news from then?

      • +8

        TikTok, Instagram, r/incel?

    • Gotta say, Netflix is the propaganda streaming service, so would have to approach from entomological angle.

    • +2

but its louis theroux tbh.. he is pretty good

  • +4

I'm sure there are more of his docs available elsewhere but iview seems to have a couple you can stream free - https://iview.abc.net.au/collection/1868

  • +1

How is paying full price for a service a deal?

Also netflix is propganda at this point anyone thinking a documentary on here would he remotely accurate is kidding themselves

Fair enough if you want to watch this rubbish but you have to pay for it….thats not a deal

    • +6

If it truly doesn't bother you that your wife had 6 boyfriends before you lost your virginity to her then good for you.

      Telling

      • -4

Well this social experiment has been going on since the 50s - at this point it is projected that 50% of people will never reproduce; a societal collapse is imminent.

        • +2

You saying women never slept around before the 50s?

  • +9

Love Louis, hate whatever OP was rambling on about.

  • -8

Jeez the amount of brainwashed people talking crap after probably watching 10 second clips on people instead of the whole conversations or theories or movements. Or are they just simps. I used to be one of them till over time i started to see where the brainwashing was really occuring.

People really need to do their own research into these topics as well as the people they have been told to hate. Plus look into the beginnings of feminism and the people who pushed for it and the people who didnt. It is not what the media has always told us it was….

    • +5

Yup, we have one right here

      • -5

Exactly, people not willing to do any research of their own but just attack . proves my point.

    • +5

I used to be one of them till over time i started to see where the brainwashing was really occuring.

      Was it in a mirror?

      • wow what a great comeback. hilarious.

    • +2

      watching 10 second clips

These guys are the ones posting 10 sec clips so either they are being deliberately antagonistic, or they think it’s their best points.

Appealing to angry young men isn’t exactly challenging grifting either.

  • +1

Might need to watch this with my son.
He’s getting to the age that these parasites target.

    • +1

Was as ok watch but nothing really sensational.

Really just showing the douchey and rage bait behaviour that we know these kind of online douchey and rage bait 'inluencers' partake in

    • +1

when I was targeted by a video mentioning it and it was something I had never heard of before, I quickly found this video by a black guy which breaks it down from the outside for what it is.

yes it's 1.5 hours long but I was able to watch it at 1.85x speed which shortens it down to about 45 mins. https://youtu.be/s1FkO7Tr70A
not sure if you or your son have the patience but some interesting information in there such as statistically the younger the male who starts believing this thing, the longer it takes them to "grow out" of it and move on. and I watched 2nd half of last year so quite awhile ago I can't remember everything, but pretty sure they become trapped in this little world which they can't get out of, and even following "all the steps" they are still stuck where they were in the first place.

afaik overall, it's a grift. as in the main "cool guy" always has all the answers which support their argument, but if you want to learn more and "be just like me" then join my online course and pay etc. and what they show off and have (fast cars, beautiful women, vacations, luxury hotels) is all paid for and supported by these people looking for answers.

Louis used to be interesting a decade ago. Sad to see he's been reduced to low hanging, HR-coded slop for his paycheque.
