Need Ideas for a New Desktop Build, DDR4 & USB-C/headset mic ports on the front panel

Hi all OzB's,

So, I've been limping along with my little desktop ITX I built in 2014. I'd like to have an update now and would like to have a board that uses DDR4 (I have new 16GB w/RGB).

Prefer 4 RAM slots & M.2 NVMe + S-ATA connectors. mATX is fine.

For a case, the smaller, the better. If I can get separate headset/mic & USB-C on the front, that would be ideal. RGB compatible.

No preference AMD/Intel. Cheaper is better, but willing to spend a few $ more if it adds real-world usage value.

I don't game much on my PC anymore & run VM's out of interest + 30 tabs in FF- lol.

Let me know your ideas?

Thanks everyone!

:^)

For a case, check out jonsbo c6 (or c6 max). Both are small for matx. Good luck!

    • Motherboard recommendations?

Has anyone recently built or had built a new desktop system using DDR4 that had onboard USB-C that they are pleased with? If so, what was the motherboard you chose. I prefer ITX, but mATX would suffice.

    Thanks all.

  • Still hoping for positive feedback on DDR4 motherboards?

    I just snagged the Corsair SX1000 (new-in-box) at an op-shop for $95!

Just need a board that has front USB-C (20g, preferred) & ARGB + decent case to go with.

    Looking at the 5600G CPU.
