Heh, I actually returned a Razer Cobra Pro mouse (bought directly from their eBay store) and a BlackWidow Mini V4 keyboard (bought from Amazon US via AU) last month because of this exact same reason. Their eBay store was supposed to charge me a 10% restocking fee as well but for some reason they didn't so that was lucky.
I bought those just because I've always wanted Razer gear growing up but we didn't have enough money back then. But their synapse software was just an absolute piece of bloatware trash that I didn't care anymore lol.
I've used SteelSeries GG for years that only had 3 processes running and consumes exactly 80MB of RAM, meanwhile Synapse had 13+ processes running at all times and consumed 300MB+ of RAM for some goddamn reason. Not to mention it affecting some games, I forgot which one but I had to turn it off cause the game was glitching because of it.
I really like their Naga Pro, but once mine dies I'm not replacing it with another Razer device, simply because of Synapse. It's horrible and bloated and they keep (somehow) making it worse.
I've just switched over to SteelSeries as my Razer keyboard was on the way out, 2 months out of warranty. I used the Aerox9 last night for the first time and the Naga V2 Pro is so much more comfortable and better to use. I was trying to get rid of Synapse too!
