    The AW2725Q is very similar to the MO27U2 and typically retails for $999. The MO27U2 doesn’t have any standout features compared to other models either. If you’re a student, you can get the AW2725Q for around $850.

    • The Gigabyte one is of the newest QD-OLED generation, but yes, otherwise they are very similar.

        AFAIK they are the same exact panel, and so are the rest of the 27” QD OLEDs.

        • Samsung has just started using their 'Penta-Tandem' marketing with the newest generation, so I assumed it was part of that, but upon review, you are correct.

    • its good for a SDR for editing not good for HDR video editing though if only it had a HDR 1000 option.

  • Please give me an advice:
    Bought Samsung Odyssey G93 OLED for ~1300ish with all discounts and it got defects and will be refunded (at least I hope).
    But my son didn't really like the ultra wide format. What should I choose instead?
    I was looking at Alienware but they literally jacked the price from 1100 for 2k and 1500 for 4k to 1500 for 2k and 2000 for 4k.
    Should I even buy OLED? Main use gaming + study

    • OLED will be good for gaming. For study where there’s a lot of static items, burn in becomes a concern but you do have burn in warranty.

    • For gaming 27-32" will be common for most gamers. Bring your son to the physical store like JB or officeworks to feel the difference.

      If you dont mind refub one from Dell, the Alienware AW2725Q 27" 4K 240Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor is a good choice.

      • thanks, he has 27'' atm, so wanted to go a bit bigger 32 or 34

        • nb, most 34s are 21:9 if that matters

  • Double the price of 1440p: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/950683

    Guess that's 4k twice 1440p.

    • If you mean by pixel count, its actually more
      QHD = 2560x1440 ~ 3.7mil pixels
      4K = 3840x2160 ~8.3mil pixel
