[Switch, Switch 2] Super Mario Party Jamboree $53.30 + Jamboree TV $83.30 @ Nintendo eShop

140

In one of the rare times, a discount on the eShop is actually a decent price. I believe from what I have seen others said, this might also be the first time a Switch 2 game has gone on sale digitally.

Sale is for this year's Mari10 day, I held off posting it expecting retail stores to match it surprisingly but appears they have not.

Physical Copy of Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition available at Amazon AU for $85.99 Delivered.

    • Ah I knew there had to be at least a close match somewhere. I don't typically use Amazon myself so I forget to check it.

    • You could also attempt to price-beat at Officeworks for another 5% off.

Apparently without the camera, Jamboree TV kind of pointless

    • Also need one of the Switch 2 joy cons for each player to be able to play a lot of the new games, Switch 1 ones don't cut it (because a lot are made for mouse mode or whatever)

    • It did seem you need it to get upgraded 1080p graphics for handheld mode for the base game, otherwise it’s 720p. Docked has no upgrades and is 1080p.

What I read last week anyway. Seemed to be a really half hearted upgrade for Switch 2. At release even handheld had no updates for the base game, but at least they addressed that in a later update. Amazed they didn’t feel it necessary to do any touch up on the original content for launch.

Even with the camera, it is limited.

I am a Nintendo fan, but this DLC/Upgrade seems half hearted at best. Check some reviews first before you buy, so you've got a better idea what you're getting. I won't spoil anything here by going into details.

It will be worth it for some, I guess, but it's likely to be disappointing for most.
