Surfshark VPN: 98% Cashback For New Surfshark Customers @ TopCashback AU

From the same parent company as NordVPN. A few reports that SurfShark worked in China when NordVPN didn't e.g. here and here. It's worth trying if you're going to China although it's not a guarantee. Some people prefer Surfshark to NordVPN.

Surfshark's Bypasser enables split tunneling on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS operating systems, allowing you to block selected apps or websites from your VPN connection.

My Tips:

• 98% Cashback is for the VPN service only (not add-ons or upsold products) e.g. basic Surfshark Starter plan.
• Best value seems to be 24 months (+ 3 months extra) A$75.33 (estimate) with "No VAT/Sales Tax" country chosen.
• Choose a country with NO VAT/Sales Tax e.g. Christmas Island. 10% GST is ineligible for cashback when Australia is chosen (default country).
• Pay with a card without international transaction fees. If using PayPal AU, there could be a currency conversion fee from PayPal AU. These fees are not eligible for cashback.
• The tracked amount in your TopCashback account will be slightly lower than what you are charged. This is probably due to the currency conversion fees/taxes as Surfshark reports to TopCashback in USD which is converted to AUD. 98% cashback minus the fees/taxes.
• Use a new email address for Surfshark if you have purchased before. The same payment card and same TopCashback account are fine.
• If your order doesn't track, please cancel and request for a refund from Surfshark within 30 days under their 30-day money-back guarantee. Please do not submit a missing cashback claim.
• If you cancel for non-tracking, you can buy again. Use a new email address for Surfshark with the same TopCashback account. Same payment card is fine.
• You can cancel auto-renewal after you have received cashback.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the "Get 98% Cashback" pink button to the Surfshark website (NOT app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

• Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
• For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

• Cashback is eligible only for new Surfshark customers opening a new Surfshark account. Renewals are ineligible for cashback.
• Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will exclude upsold products, GST, other taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.
• A new click/tap from TopCashback's 'Get cashback' button must be generated with each new order from Surfshark. Failure to do so will cause all cashback on subsequent orders to be declined by Surfshark.
• Cashback is ineligible on payments made with Crypto currency.

• Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.

What else is essential

• Surfshark VPN orders report to your account excluding GST and other taxes, and may show a further difference in purchase amount due to international conversion rates. This is beyond our control.
• Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
• Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
• Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
• Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know

• Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
• If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, the entire order will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.
