    I posted this deal ~two years ago when I needed a charger for 18650's and Ni-MH batteries.

    Would not recommend in this day and age - does not charge 1.5V Li-ion. No point getting this and then another 1.5V Li-ion charger later on.

      yeah.Just add another $25 and get a Xtar VX4 instead or even a VX2 Pro which charges almost every chemistry 3.6/3.7V Li-ion & 3.2V LiFeP04,1.5V Li-ion and 1.2V Ni-MH

      Just received ~150 used/reclaimed 21700 and 18650 NMC and LFP from slbatteries.com.au and can recommend. Halfway through capacity testing them (with VC8 chargers incidentally) and they average 98% of nameplate capacity with no duds yet and all in-spec IR. Only went for name brand cells though so that helps.

      If you want new cells, caprouge.com.au is legit and good prices. Have used them before for ebike motors/batteries.

    Should probably mention it only charges at 1A x 2 or 500mA x 4. Fine for smaller AAA NiMH, but would take ages charging larger AA, 18650 or 21700

        Look at SkyRC MC series. They release firmware updates when a new chemistry gets popular. They virtually support everything, and will be in future.

            @Naigrabzo: I have experience with chargers burning 18650 and themselves. If you want to check what your insurance will say about property burned by Chinese El Cheapo charger, sure :)

          I'm not an expert but I think ones designed to only take 18650 are better. But if you want a lamp style this is probably fine.

          Member @Clear has posted ones on Aliexpress before & knows what's good. I did a search for you.

    i own one, it's fine.

    I 3d printed little tabs that raises the height of the AA and AAA batteries. they dont always align as they are too small.

    Not a very well known brand around here, but I can vouch for VapCell S4 Plus which can charge and discharge almost any battery (including 1.5V Li-Ion AA batteries). It's a bit expensive (around $50) but it's powerful (up to 3A per slot!) and configurable.

      I'm pretty sure S4+ V3 doesn't support those. Other "AA" format are fine (14500, eneloops), but not 1.5V li-ion AA.

      I prefer having separate chargers for 1.5V Li AA anyway, since each cell pull 5V and regulate internally.

      If you already own a panasonic one, stick with that, no point upgrading.

      It's really designed for 18650s, it will charge AA and AAA but takes some fiddling. It's also bigger.

      It's kind of like upgrading from a kia rio to a kia cerato. it's bigger, has more features, but if the rio is working fine, there isnt really a point buying something new for such a marginal improvement.

      It will charge NiMH but one common complaint is the 0.5A charging current limit.

    I can at least confirm it won't charge the 21700 protected cells, as they won't physically fit (too long).
